I have vista ultimate but its boot screen is not apperaing but windows run fine

Windows Vista And above doest not support full screen command window.. In order to run dos programs in full screen mode u can you use dosbox emulator which will be more convenient. Note that if you use pointers in your program it may not wok under vista directly.. If u run under the dosbox emulation it will work fine.. I am an advocate of ASUS boards..rock solid...Vista on the other hand...problems occur out of no where...when problems arise you always have to ask yourself" what has changed"..and work backwords from there.

Your missing the files that load the operating system. Put the vista disk back in, let it run and it will eventually ask if you want to setup or repair. Choose repair and then type "fixboot". That will fix your master boot record so the operating system can load.

Did you (sorry for the underline....not sure how it got here) call Microsoft to have them give you another product key? This is the new procedure now. If you do a reinstall with your Windows Operating System, you have to call in to receive a new product key. This should fix it.

the only thing I can sugust is remove norton 360 if you have this onboard and get other firewall and spyware and antivirus software.

and disable the sidebar with the widgets, and change desktop view from aero to clasic this will boost up loading and shutting down of laptop.

you can purschase vista, then download all drivers for laptop from manufactures and re-install from scratch.
