Sometimes you cant do the same things the way you are accustom to do things especially when it is old (h500).
try this make the light stays on the h500 then scan or pair the device.
also you should programme the h500 in your phone as an trusted device and you should get better results.
trust me i have the same one on my ears , and gave me hell too (smile)

I got the H500 given to me but not manual to show me how to make it work w/my cell phone

Starting with your headset turned off, press and hold the call button for more than 6 seconds, until the indicator light is steadily lit (you'll notice that the light will flash as if the headset was being turned on, but don't release the button at this step). You headset is now in pairing mode. Now, make your phone's bluetooth application search for new devices. After a while, the H500 will appear on the phone screen. If a pairing code (or PIN, or passkey) is requested, enter '0000' (four zeros). You just have to pair any two blueotooth enabled devices once. All subsequent connections between them should be achieved by bringing them both within range, with their bluetooth radios turned on. If they fail to do so, a simple press on the headset's call button should suffice to established the link.

Hope it works for you.
Regards, Carlos

Pair motorola H500 to samsung eternity SGH-A867

I have had this problem too. Here is what worked for me.

1) With the Motorola H500 OFF, press and hold the talk key until you see a steady, non-blinking blue light.
2) Keeping that button pressed, turn on the bluetooth on the samsung eternity.
3) It should now find the H500, click on it and select connect.
4) Put in a pass key (I just put in 0000) and your done.

I have a problem with my bluetooth headset h500 pairing it?

The Blackberry Pearl was designed to work with 2.0 model bluetooth handsfree headsets. Whereas the Motorola H500 is compatible with 1.1 - 1.2 bluetooth apps only. I'm guessing you will have to dish out the cash on this one, sorry!

How do I use motorola bluetooth H500 with razor phone?

On your bluetooth headset, hold down the power button until the light stays on steady. (it will blink when you initially power it on, but continue to hold for another few seconds for the steady light!) Your headset is now in pairing mode.

On your RAZR, press Menu > Settings and Tools > Connections > Bluetooth > Handsfree > Look for devices. Your phone will then scan for any bluetooth devices that are in pairing mode. When your bluetooth headset pops up on the list, highlight it and press ok to connect.

your cell will then ask permission to bond with the phone, select yes. It will then ask your for a pin. The pin will be 0000.

H-700 motorolla bluetooth

1. Bluetooth enabled?

Hold down the connect button on headset until steady purple light comes on, then open the boom.

Search for Bluetooth devices on the phone. When asked for a pin, use "0000". Now the H700 will show up in the Bluetooth device list, but it will not connect. Put the headset in pairing mode again, this time go to the h700 listed on the phone and select connect. Now the devices will work as normal. When you open the boom on the h700, it will connect to the phone.

Cell samsung SGH-F250 with bluetooth motorola h500

ACTIVATING THE BLUETOOTH
You must activate the Bluetooth feature of your phone to be able to establish a Bluetooth connection
between your phone and your SuperTooth kit as well as with other Bluetooth devices.
1.
Press Menu > Settings > Bluetooth > Activation > On.
2.
Press Back as many times as needed to return to standby mode.
PAIRING TO THE CELLULAR PHONE (Not possible while charging the SuperTooth)
Pairing will create a link or connection between the two Bluetooth devices - the SuperTooth kit and your phone.
1. Bring the cellular phone at about 20 cm from the SuperTooth.
2. Turn off the SuperTooth and wait for about 4 seconds.
3. While pressing the Answer Button, turn ON the SuperTooth by sliding the Power Switch to the right. Keep the Answer Button pressed for approximately 10 seconds until you hear a distinctive tone and the Bluetooth indicator LED changes from blinking blue to alternately blinking of red and blue. The SuperTooth is now in pairing mode.
4. While the SuperTooth is at pairing mode, access the Bluetooth menu of your phone. Press Menu > Settings > Bluetooth > My devices > Search new device. The phone will then search for pairable devices until it displays them in the list.
5. Highlight SuperTooth then press Select.
6. Enter PIN “0000” then press Ok. (Wait until “Paired with …“ and “Connected” will be shown briefly.)
7. Press Back as many times as needed to return to standby mode. Pairing is successful if the alternating red/blue lights of Bluetooth Indicator stops and then change to plain blinking blue. Normally, the phone would also show briefly on its display if it’s already paired and connected to SuperTooth or if pairing with it failed.
The SuperTooth kit is now ready to use.
