Lexmart x4580 all in one printer

Hi,
I have just inserted a new Lexmart No 2 colour cartridge into the above printer and now have a message "unsupported cartridge". I put the original cartridge back in the printer and still get the same message. I have tried all combinations and the printer refuses to print.

Hp4355 print catridge error

Each cartridge having printing life, as long as cartridge health condition is good it won't gives any trouble. Subjected series printer having mono & colour cartridges,1. Remove both cartridge from the printer 2. Switch on & wait till message appears for insert the cartridges..3. Insert mono(Black) cartridge, close the door & wait till message appears on screen. If message appears same as cartridge error mean that mono cartridge is faulty replace it, if message appears like insert another cartridge, it's confirmed that colour cartridge faulty.. Replace it..

I have inserted a new black ink cartridge (34) and get an error message 'left cartridge missing, insert black or colour photo cartridge' have peeled label off and reinserted several times but still...

Make sure you are inserting a genuine Lexmark cartridge. Try to insert a different known working cartridge, maybe your old black cartridge, to determine if your new cartridge is faulty. If inserting your old black cartridge gives you a message saying "very low ink" or something to that effect, then most probably there's something wrong with the new black cartridge. Have it replaced with a new one from the store where you bought it from. You may also contact Lexmark Technical Support Center for assistance.

Just replaced ink cartriges in printer and followed instructions but still saying i have an alignment problem

Make sure you are inserting genuine Lexmark cartridges. Please follow the steps below to fix the problem:

1. Make sure the printer is on.

2. Open the printer cover. The print cartridge carrier moves and stops at the loading position, unless the All-in-One is busy.

3. Remove both cartridges from the carrier.

4. Close the printer cover.

5. Unplug and re-plug the printer into the power source to reset it.

6. When the printer turns on, reinsert one cartridge first.

7. Close the printer cover and check for any errors.

8. If no error appears, reinsert the other cartridge. Close the printer cover.

9. Replace whichever cartridge is causing the error to appear with a new cartridge. You could also try inserting a different known working cartridge to determine if the other is faulty.

Will the lexmark x4580 work in black and white when the colour cartridge is empty?

Yes it will work in black and white.

There is a small switch in the bottom of the carriage where the ink goes, if it is broken you will need a new carriage assembly.

My D145 HP all in one Officejet doesn't recognise new colour cart

hi penned2you, when you say that you have installed new colour cartridge, is it a new refilled cartridge or an original from the manufacturer? cause if it is refilled then most of the time depending on the level of ink that was in it... the printer will not accept it, when you say you have tried different ones, do you mean different empties that were in there before? cause if it is then the printer will not accept them either. to get them to be accepted you have first know that the printer stores 3 cartridges in memory and so you have to let it read for eg. the colour catridge #i, then #2 then #3, after cartidge #3 is inserted then colour #1 will now be accepted. the same goes for the black if you're using original cartridges then these steps dont apply... the only thing i know of to rectify the problem is to clean the printer cartridge contacts and then cleaning the carriage contacts. if done correctly it should work. if not then give me some more info on your situation, casue i would suspect that the printer itself maybe damaged (if it is infact you have inserted more than one different new original cartridges) if these intructions helped in any way please rate it and also to let me know how it turns out.
thanx

Black Printer cartridge

It will tell you the colour is low, regardless of the format in which you are printing. I don't believe Canon provide a way for you to disable this for their printer range, so you'll need to put in the new colour cartridge to get rid of this error. (you should however, be able to print whilst receiving this message)

Tri Colour cartridge inserted is not intended for use in this printer msg

Try to clean the print cartridge contact points with a good rubber eraser and clean the printer side cartridge contacts with good lint free cotton cloth. Then first insert Black cartridge and then colour cartridge. Use some more pressure while attaching the cartridges.
