Hi,
Kindly remove the back panel of the unit and check whether the belt is properly fixed if it is ok means check the wire connection if everything is fine. kindly check the motor humming sound once the water is filled if you find the humming sound means kindly replace the motor

The inlet valve of the machine is faulty that means its always open kindly replace the inlet valve to get solved your problem

Turns on, fills with water, but then won't spin and makes a high pitch squeel. Belt maybe?
While the belt IS a possibility, you should check to make sure that the drum is not out of balance or that it is wedged somehow.

When the drum is empty, try to manually turn the drum. You should only being turning the resistance of the motor and belt; and the internal working of the tub, so it should turn under some pressure. BUT don't put excessive force into trying to turn it! If it doesn't turn with moderate pressure then something has come loose and wedged the mechanism. Which means that the drum system would need disassembled and repaired.

Hi

You could have a stuck solenoid valve
Try this: Set the water temp on cold. Turn on only the hot water.
Does hot water try and fill the drum?
If so then there is a problem with the hot solenoid.

Next set the water on hot. Turn on only the cold water. Does cold water try and fill the drum ?
If so then there is a problem with the cold solenoid.

Thats strange, F10 means no cold fill.
Ok back to basics, you can check the pressure switch by taking off the tube and gently blowing into it and I mean gently, you should hear a click if its ok - make sure the other end is'nt blocked, blow it out with a cycle pump near the drum end

Drum is filling with water after each wash
There is only 2 possibilities for the drum to fill with water after it has finished.
Firstly, if the empty pipe is connected to the sink outlet pipe, the water can syphon back into the washer if the pipe is too low, thereby slowly filling the washer when not in use.
Solution is to lift the outlet pipe higher.than the bottom of the sink.
The other reason is the inlet valve is not shutting off properly.
To prove if this is the case, turn the water off at the valve, if it is hot and cold fill, then turn the hot off only, and wait and see if water comes in over a period of time, if it does not then you need to replace the hot valve.
If water stills comes in with hot turned off, then you need to replace the cold valve.
If cold fill only , turn off cold and wait to see if any water comes in, if it does not, then replace cold valve.

Drum not turning
My problem is the same as colins my hotpoint wm63 is starting okay i.e. water fills up but drum is not turning. I can hear it clicking through the cycle but drum doing nothing. i to have just put in new carbon brushes but still no joy please help

machine stops during short cycle without finishing the wash sometimes it stops at the wash phase and other times it stops at the rinse phase. full cycle works fine Cleaned the filter, removed the inline water filters from the inlet. The end indicator is flashing once only. But no flashes and all well during long cycle.
