Download the Windows 2000 driver. Go to "Settings" then to "Control Panel". Then go into "Printers and Faxes". On the left hand side click "Add a Printer". Check "Local Printer attached..." but make sure "autmatically detect..." is not checked. Then click next. Select the port that the printer is connected to. Then click next and it will ask for the software. Click "Have Disk" and browse to the folder where you saved the driver. It should then find the Fargo 4250 driver and your in business.

it sounds like you have a bad main board again. you might be having some power issues. we are an ASC for Fargo, if you need parts send me an email. Although the 4250 has been discontinued a long time ago, parts are scarce.
