Hi All,
I'am having trouble in connecting my Samsung SGH-Z150 with the Bluetooth USB
Adapter. The pairing is passed and in the BlueSoleil main window there is a
red check, close to the mobile phone, which confirm that.
Nevertheless making the next step the PDF User guide says:
" Start a bluetooth service connection
You can doubleclick the associated bluetooth device icon or right-click on
the icon and select Refresh Services to find the service it provides. After
service searching fisishes, the services the romote device supports and the
corresponding service icons on the top of the main windows will change to be
pink colour."
At this step my connecting procedure stops, as the BlueSoleil status bar
window shows the following message: Services not detected !!!!!
Why that??!
Has someone had the same problem solved? Any answer is welcomed and
appreciated.
Marc

you can either connect your phone to the pc to transfer files using a USB cable or via bluetooth depending on the feature/capability of your phone & pc
many mobile phone companies dont provide drivers for linux.
But there is a software i would personaly recommend to you. Actually its not a software, its a shell script. Name of software is "Sakis3g". It can connect to mobile phones and other mobile devices which can be detected by linux kernel. You can use IR, Bluetooth, even USB cable to connect to your device.
You can use this software for the following
connect to mobile devices by IR, bluetooth, USB Cable
Send and receive files between computer and device
Access Internet from Device by Dial Up Networking
Browse files on Mobile device
Mount the mobile device on a user specified mount point or communication port. usually it mounts connected mobile device to /dev/rfcomm0. Through this port, you can communicate with the device .
Connect to USB Modem (Like Reliance DataConnect, TATA Photon, IDEA Netsetter etc.)
ability to connect to any locked/unlocked USB internet Modems (Zero Devices)
fully automated connection setup. No manual input is needed except to specify connection name.
You can find more details and download Sakis3g from this address http://www.linuxconfig.org/mobile-broadband-connection-and-sakis3g
2.Connect phone in data mode. 3.After windows installs the driver for the phone it should see it as a modem. 4.Set up your dial up/Networking option according to your provider. (note:you will need dial up service{any} or a special service from your provider.)
If your problem is transferring files between PC and SGH-L700, you have 3 options: USB cable (which you don't have), bluetooth connection and memory card.
If your PC has a bluetooth adapter, it's very easy: Just open both devices' bluetooth visibility, set a passkey for communication between them, then transfer the files in your phone using bluetooth.
The last option is, saving the data on your phone to the memory card (MicroSD) then inserting it to your PC using a simple (and very cheap) card reader. You can then transfer files between your two devices.
I am having the same problem with my phone. What I've found out until now is that you can only access the memory card through an USB connection or by getting a card reader. So I think this qualifies as a solution.
I am still looking for a way to make it work via bluetooth connection. I will let you know if I find anything. :)
do you have your phone in 'find me' mode and then search again for devices
If you have SP2 then you may not need bluesoleil software and it will just be a case of right clicking on file you want, then click send to to allow the dongle to search for devices.
