Oven light
This is done to regulate the temperature. Higher heat settings
will let the element stay on longer, while lower settings will turn it
off sooner. Even on high, the elements may turn off periodically
because there is a switch called a temperature limiter. Its job is to
keep the element from overheating.
Same exact problem in addition to at times, not being able to depress the touch pad button
My oven light switches on and off by itself
The light was stuck in the on position at first and when I depressed the light button no depression or sound occurred. Then it began going alternating on/off.
My light switches on/off and the button for light does not depress or signal when touched.
I have never hated an oven as much as I hate these. I purchased them in 2002-3 as well. I have two of them. 6 months ago I had the flickering lt. problem. Thought it would stop after a while. It was Chinese torture and never stopped. After 5 or 6 days, called repair man who said it will cost $500 to repair, or he can just make it not work at all. So now a $2K over with no light! These ovens ****.
