the control module is the problem it allows the heater to come on then turns off power to the gas valve.if you are not getting enough water flow the high limit is turning the heater off then your problem is flow.

the issue is a broken baffle in the system. there is a baffel that directs water into the heat exchanger and back out into the system. The welds that hold the baffel in place have broken off. It can be repaired if you take the unit to someone with a mig welder and have them re-weld it (muffler shop, mechanic?). there needs to be a weld on both sides. You can see the baffel if you remove the unit and look down the inlet and outlet tubes.

Actually, the clicking is likely causing the shaking. Inside the manifold of a H100 is a stainless steel diverter plate that send some of the passing water into the heat exchanger and lets the rest past and back to the pool. When it breaks, you will hear a 'clicking' noise at it rattles in the water path. When it breaks, the flow to the heat exchanger is intermittent and you will begin to boil the water, causing the shaking. This situation is dangerous, especially without a pressure relief in the heater or pipe. As long as your water chemistry is sound, Hayward will usually cover this under warranty even if the unit is over a year old. I have a Hayward H400 that shuts off at 88 degrees. What could this be?

Is this heater standalone, or is it hooked up to an external controller? If it is standalone, it sounds like you need a water temp sensor for the heater. If its hooked up to an external controller, you likely need a 10k temp sensor. What error code does the heater display when it shuts down? And what temperature are you able to read on the heater and/or external controller?

I turn my heater on, it is set on auto, but it never turn off, it's a new thermostat.

If the setting was at 80 degrees and it didn't turn off, that's because the room didn't reach 80 degrees yet. Keep track of the room temperature as well as if it turns off when set for a lower temperature.

Pilot light is lit, but heater will not fire

Make sure thermostat is set higher than water temperature. Make sure pump is running and water is flowing through unit. If gas valve is not opening then flame sensor or gas valve is bad.
