Webcam graph render fail

right click on "my computer". Or "computer" in the start menu on Vista. Select "Manage". Wait for the window to pop up.
Under system tools, select Device manager. Go to where it says Imaging devices..click it, and under it, it should say something like, "gateway USB 2.0 webcam"(or something refering to the webcam" ~ Double click it, and select the driver tab. Go down to Uninstall. And uninstall the webcam (when it asks if you want to delete the software for it, don't select the box). Click ok and It will unistall the drivers, restart the computer and after it starts back up, it'll detect the webcam and re-install the drivers..and It should work normal. According to Gateway Support, when you install one of several common third party software applications including Yahoo® Messenger, MSN® Messenger, QuickTime, Adobe® Reader, or iTunes you will get a "Graph Render Fail" or "No Webcam Found" error and the webcam will not function.

This could be because of 2 reasons.
1. that the drivers installed are the incorrect drivers for that particular camera
2. You can disable Windows Live Messenger it seems to be interefering or conflicting with the web cam somehow.

I have the same problem and i just want to know how to fix it.

i think you need to reinstall your web cam driver properly. first uninstall the web cam driver which you had install and restart your pc. install the driver file again and see whether the problem persists .

do you have internet connection?how many months since your pc was reformated?if thats the problem,your system needs to be refrogram.

i have cam acer dvc-v6 but when i connect to pc, there is no pic out, is there any fix to solve my problem

You've got graphic rendering problem bcos, the webcam drivers installed in your laptop don't work correctly. ie) the driver installed forces your webcam to take a snapshot at a resolution that is not supported by the webcam hardware...So, tell me ur laptop model number and I'll let u know abt the drivers....
