We have a Pioneer SD P5006 Television and it keeps turning off.

We have a Pioneer SD P5006 Television and it keeps shutting off. I need to unplug and replug it to turn it on however after a minute it shuts off again. Even if I repeat this it will not stay on. What is causing this problem?

Ur hight voltage transformer it dead.
The Fly Back Transformer the black plastic square block with the red wire with the cap to ur CRT(tv tube) is dead.

Replace both of your STK ICs STK392-110s use 150s
Mats has them 1-800-628-1118, If you can solder you can fix it.

Th convergance amps have failed you will half to replace them, or have it done parts are around 70 dollars not and easy fix on a pioneer time consuming

THE TV STAYS OFF

If the sound keeps working your probably just need a new lamp, if the sound does not stay on, you probably to get someone to fix the power supply.

If it was not banged around or dropped then i would have to guess that a capacitor was leaky before you unplugged it and moved it and it now it is to weak to fire back up . You would need a capacitor ESR meter to find the bad one . Good luck
