Pop spilled on psp and now it wont read games. how do i fix this

download the last update and it should work or try download the same game with the update already done

Sounds like you need to update your firmware and is causing all the games you downloaded (on the old firmware) to not work properly. The alternative is to re-download all the games that seem to be affected. If this doesn't work, make sure you are getting your games from a legitimate source otherwise they wont play correctly regardless.

Take a can of air and blow some into the drive where the disc would go, then go ahead and try a few games to make sure its not just a bad game. If you can't get the psp to read anything then the UMD drive needs to be replaced.

Have you upgraded the firmware? if not go to sony's site and download the firmware and from there load it to your memory stick and update. this should resolve the issue. you can also update the system if you are wireless and can get internet access on your psp. if this does not work get in toutch with sony thay will advise you wether it can be fixed or if you need a new on..

If you dropped it, then the reader may be a little messed up. If the case around the disc is popped open a little bit, closing it all the way might stop the disc from spinning, resulting in not reading the disc. The only thing I recommend is to contact Customer Support on the Playstation website. They might be able to help you fix the problem or have you send it in. www.playstation.com

my psp wont work! its been doin this for at least 1year now! when i was about to watch a movie on it it got jammed, after that it never played a game at all! it wont spin the disc or any thing. the spring that makes the umd POP out doesn't....well pop out any more. my moms broke, so sh cant just buy a new on or fix or take it to a shop.i even tried it on a new game.......smack down VS. raw 2009, (a year ago that was the newest thing.)if you can help me my e-mail is [email protected] please give out any suggestions. :) thnx
