Contained within the oven, usually behind the backgurad, there is a tech sheet. DISCONNECT POWER and pull off back panel behind backguard to locate sheet. Within this sheet there are a list of fault codes and the corrective procedure.

My 2008 Maytag double oven the lower door is locked, no messages on display and the manual says to push 'CANCEL abd Cook & Hold' button but does not unlock the door

f your 2008 Maytag double oven's lower door is locked, here are some steps you can try to unlock it:

Press Cancel/Off Key: Start by pressing the Cancel/Off key. Wait for 20-30 seconds, then try to open the door. Sometimes this simple latch reset can do the trick.

Power Cycle: Turn off the power at the circuit breaker or fuse box for one minute. After that, turn the power back on. Allow the oven to cool for approximately 30-90 minutes, and then move the latch arm to the left to unlock the door.

Self-Clean Cycle Interruption: If the door locked during a self-clean cycle, select the "Self Clean" option, and then choose "Cancel". Wait a couple of minutes, and then try to start the cycle again. If the self-clean cycle was started by mistake, press the Cancel/Off key. The oven will need to cool to around 200°F (95°C) before the door can open.

Remember to ensure that the oven is cool and the power is turned off before attempting any of these steps. Hopefully, one of these methods will help you unlock the oven door! Your manual might prove helpful. Oven is Locked - What to Do - Product Help ' Maytag

My oven keeps randomly beeping and flashing F-1 recently. When I push cancel it stops, sometimes for an hour and sometimes for a week. I have tried to reset by turing circuit on and off, but problem does...

Usually means that either the touch pad or the oven control (also called clock or ERC) is defective and needs to be replaced. If this fault code cannot be cancelled, replace the oven control (also called clock or ERC), touch pad, or both.

My oven keeps beeping and flashing an f-7.....what can i do to stop it?

Turn off house breaker to the unit at the breaker box of your home. This will be a double breaker.

F7 Touch pad or Control board...... Most techs start with touch pad.

Oven W279U Serial No. 790191BD keeps beeping.

I turned off the power to the oven at the breaker box and left it off for several days. I restored the power this afternoon and there have been no more beeps. Spells and incantations may have played a part as well.

Pushed the clean button, the oven locked, and the screen started beeping and flashing f9 or f7. I hit cancel, and the oven is still locked and the clean button is sill flashing.... It has been 10 hrs!

The F9 code indicates there is a problem with the door lock.

Try disconnecting the power to the range for 10 seconds and reconnecting. Open the oven door and hold the door switch plunger in while you try these things. Put the control into clean for 5 minutes then cancel clean. You must hold the door switch plunger in for the 5 minutes.

Try canceling the clean cycle without putting the control into clean.

F7 code keeps flashing on upper oven, nothing on keypad works

A function pad is probably stuck.
Push all buttons several times each. Often this will clear a stuck pad.
If that does not work replace the clock.

My oven wont quit beeping!

It depends on the actual model number (that you didn't supply), but most Kenmore F7 errors indicate a bad keypad or bad control panel. If you unplug the ribbon cable from the keypad to the panel then plug the oven back in and it starts beeping again, it's a bad control panel, if it doesn't beep anymore, it's a bad keypad.

Please unplug the oven power with working on it.
