Need to program a new remote for RCA TV

I have a 2005 RCA TV We lost remote and purchased a new one through internet. However, we cannot program the new remote as
no booklet came with it.

Programming Your Universal Remote.

The remote may already be set up to operate your brand of TV, VCR, or Cable Box. It is pre-programmed with following codes:

TV-000
VCR-000
Cable Box-000
AUX is programmed with VCR code 037

For brands that require programming, there are two ways to program: Using Code Lists or Code Search. Use Code Search if the code lists are not available or if the codes from the lists do not operate a device.

Programming a Device using Code Search:

Manually turn ON your device (TV, VCR, Cable Box)
Press and "HOLD" CODE SEARCH
Press and release the device button you want to set up (TV, VCR, Cable Box) However, if you are using AUX for a device, press and release AUX first and then the device button for the type of device to be programmed (TV, VCR, or Cable). The selected device button will flash once.
Release CODE SEARCH.
Press OFF/ON repeatedly until the device turns off (you may have to press up to 100 times at a rate of once per second).
Once the device turns off, press and release ENTER.
With the device on, press any other button. If the device responds, no further programming is required. If the device does not respond, repeat steps 1-6.

Programming a device using the Code Lists:

Find codes for each device and brand below.
Press and "HOLD" CODE SEARCH.
Press and release the TV, VCR or Cable button you want to set up. If programming AUX for a device, press and release AUX first and then the device to be programmed (TV, VCR or Cable). When the selected device button flashes proceed to the next step.
Enter the three digit code from the TV, VCR or Cable Box code lists.
Release CODE SEARCH.
With the device on, press another button, for example CHANNEL UP. If the device responds, no further programming is required. If the device does not respond, repeat steps 1-5 using another code number from the lists.

Hi, I have a few things for you to try.
1. Your TV "6424TF" seems to have problems with its IR "Infra-red" sensor going bad. This is a common problem with your model TV. If this is the case no remotes will work on your TV.
2. Because I do not know the model of your universal RCA remote I cannot tell you how to program it.. please supply the model number of it. Try looking under the battery cover. might be an "RCR..." number. I need to know this because all universal remotes have different codes and programming methods.
3. To know 100% if its your TV that's bad you will need the original remote for your TV. I have already looked up your original remote and you can purchase a brand new replacement that will work right out of the package (assuming your TV IR sensor isn't broke) here: RR0108UD for all sylvania TVs . no programming is necessary for this remote.

Get your Sanyo TV codes and one by one program the into you RCA universal until you can turn the TV on and off. Find codes at Sanyo.com, the manual, Sat Manual, Vcr Manual etc.

H ow do I program my remote to my tv? I have an RCA universal remote. Model # RCR412S. I lost the user's guide and need to program my new tv to my remote. I have a 42' Sharp tube tv.

Need to know "HOW TO" set up RCR312W

You have to hold the component button (TV) and enter the code from http://www.rca.com/codefinder. The SKU it asks for, on my RCR312W, was under the lid from the batteries. Hope it helps.

Someone had posted a solution to manually program the remote. The information came from RCA website. It worked fine. I still would like the code numbers for my remote. I have a LG TV that is about a year old.

I asume your game systems and dvd player are hooked up via the rca inputs.So all you would need to do is purchase a universal remote,program it for your tvand press ch00 which should be the video input.make sure your dvd or game system is on so you know if you are on the right channel
