I assume that when it resets to 2.2 feet that the readout is flashing. If so the it sounds like you have a bad transducer as the problem has been getting progressively worse.
The transducer needs to be replaced. Sounds like the sending crystal is fractured.
DEPTH ALARM An alarm on a divers' watch that sounds when the wearer exceeds a pre-set depth. DEPTH METER or DEPTH SENSOR A device on a divers' watch that determines the wearer's depth by measuring water pressure. It shows the depth either by analog hands and a scale on the watch face or through a digital display. DECK WATCH A large-sized ship's chronometer. DEVIATION A progressive natural change of a watch's rate with respect to objective time. In case of a watch's faster rate, the deviation is defined positive, in the opposite case negative. DIAL Face of a watch, on which time and further functions are displayed by markers, hands, discs or through windows. Normally it is made of a brass - sometimes silver or gold. DIGITAL WATCH Said of watches whose indications are displayed mostly inside an aperture or window on the dial. DIVERS' WATCH A watch that is water resistant to 200M. Has a unidirectional rotating bezel and a screw-on crown and back. Has a metal or rubber strap (not leather). May have a sapphire crystal and possibly, a wet-suit extension.
The last alarm code memorized can be displayed even if the appliance is in normal operating mode (e.g. while the drying programme is being performed):
- Press (start/pause) and first option button simultaneously for at least 5 seconds: the display shows the last alarm. The alarm sequence continues to flash as long as the two buttons are held down.
The appliance continues the cycle while the alarm codes are being displayed. If the appliance is in programme selection mode, the options previously selected are stored in memory.

Your printer most probably has the scanner unit dirty. Unfortunately, this is the type of service that requires a great deal of printer disassembly. My advice is a good Samsung Authorized Service Center. Just ask them to show you their certification.
