Im trying 2 get my acer T1400 laptop 2 go on the internet do u have a manual 4 my laptop

'Cranking' is the engine turning. So it doesn't even turn, just 'tries' to turn? Check battery for voltage and CCA (cold cranking amps).

Or the engine cranks, fires and runs, you engage drive and it stops? Best guess for that is strip and clean the carburetor.

I think your front-panel cables arent connected properly. (the picture might be wrong, because not all front-panels are the same)



No video signal:

The problem isn't with your monitor, it's wth your video card, motherboard, CPU or power supply. Do you get the single beep at startup?

1)Turn ON the wireless feature on your laptop. It will be a combination of function keys.
2)Remove preferred networks
3)Assign DNS server address manually in Wireless Network Connections Properties
4)Try to scan for wireless networks in range now with/without security
5)Try Internet explorer, else mozilla firefox, else google chrome.
It will surely go online wireless

Hi,

Try resetting the network adapter.

On the bottom right hand side of the desktop you will see the wireless icon, right click on that ans click on troubleshoot problems. This will reset the adapter and assign an IP address for your your PC.

When its done try to connect to the internet.

Usually you

1) purchase the new hard drive
2) look around the base of your laptop to find where the HDD is, if you look at the manual which im sure acer will have on its site it will show you
3) usually 1 or 2 screws are unscrewed and you slide out the hard drive, it will be in a special holder
4) unscrew the old hard drive and insert the new one and secure it in place like the old one.
5) insert, re-do screws up, turn on laptop.

this new hard drive wont have any information on it so you will need to reinstall windows on that drive.

I was unable to turn my acer aspire 3690 on no matter what I tried the lights came on and the fan ran but no monitor no sounds.... searched the internet and reboted ect... Did you know acer aspires (mine at least ) has a screen lock? try pressing F12 and fn duh! I thought the mother board was shot.... my 4 year old had locked me out of it! Much easier than replacing the mother board huh?
