The drum of my tThomson Washing Machine is stuck as the frame has

top loader tubs are supported by 4 rods attached to the top of the frame in plastic isolators
these plastic bits can fail and drop slightly to one side

door switch fault, usually means that, or drum stuck.

Lift the top frame and check the grommets the suspend the drum, Open the lid and get a good grip on the front inside by the drum and give a good **** to open the top frame, the four grommets should be visiable in the corners. check to see if they are tight, if not replace them.

The top lifts off, then you can see the area around the drum and tank. There are springs and dampers that hold the frame and the drum steady. Check to see if they are broken or loose.

overloaded & unballanced has mabe pulled drum away from the rear bearing!
& jammed iself!
only way now is to disconnect power & water & undo cabinet to inspect it!

Check to see what is the story with motor and belt tht turn drum and extract water. If belt has stretched it needs to be replaced. Search Over 2 1 Million Appliance Parts
