I just bought a Nikon D60 on ebay, it came with a three month warrenty and was in aa nikon refurbished box but i've noticed that when i take pictures there is a black dot in the top left corner of all of them. I only notice the dot in pictures where the background is white where it is obviously but i can't find any dust on the lens anywhere what might be causing this?

My guess is that you have a dust spot in the camera on the mirror. This is not a user fixable ptoblem unless you are very well versed on camera repair. I would take to a camera store and have them clean the mirror.

Why does my Nikon D60 while on auto focus or quick shutter speed either not focus and take the pic or focus and not take pics?

I have a 5D Mark II that has acted up like this. 99% of the time it will reset itself it you power off, remove the lense and allow them to sync up. Try this, it may work for you too!

Nikon d60 - error. turn camera off and on again.

Locate the button behind the shutter release button with the green dot next to it. Locate the button at the back lower hand side of the D60 with the green dot next to it. Press both buttons at the same time.........This resets the D60 to its original settings and should resolve the problem.....

Is it a Nikon mount indeed. What a question!?! Couldn't fit any other mount on the camera!!! Just a guess here, the lens is probably not aa AF-I, an AF-S or a DX lens. The D60 has limited lens usage. The lens types mentioned are the only ones that fully work on the D60. It will work with G types as long as they are also AF-I or AF-S. AF and AF-D lenses will not auto focus. Hope this helps. Will

Just bought Nikon D60. No matter what mode I use

looks like a viewfinder has an issue. If you have recently bought the thing just return it and get a new one. If not possible to replace , i recommend visiting Nikon authorised service center.
Could be something in the path of pentaprism.

Dust stuck under glass on the lcd screen of my d60

If you purchased your D60 new, you could sent it in to Nikon for cleaning but personally, I'd wait a while if it's not affecting the camera's functions. If you need warranty work within the first year, you can send the camera in for that work, and they'll clean under the LCD while servicing the camera.

Dropped Nikon D60

that sounds like the screen got smashed theres two things you can do forget the screen and check the shots on a computer or the expensive one, the screen will need to be replaced i not sure how much it would cost i would say over $100 but it may be under warrenty check that out first.

Camera frozen

The autofocus motor is stuck. It's a Samsung common problem and can't be fixed by the user. If it's still under warrenty you can send it to the the listed repair facility in NYC, otherwise you might wind up paying aa much as what you bought if for. BTW, they fixed mine while it was still under warrenty and three months later, it's broken again with the same problem. My advice? DON'T BUY ANOTHER SAMSUNG PRODUCT AS LONG AS YOU LIVE!!
