Date stamp on my ixus 50

I have been happily using my canon ixus 50 for 3 years now which is great. Just recently the date has switched itself off and it wont let me scroll down on the menu to put it back on. Help? Also is it possible to buy/fit a glass viewing screen as this one is crazed and not very clear - thanks Val

The Date/Timestamp is only available in Postcard Mode, so push FUNC/SET, scroll down and set the size to Postcard.

Testimonial: "Hey thanks for that. It's up and working now so I can organise my pics easier when downloaded - super!"

Hi im using a canon digital ixus 9515 camera and I have the wrong date stamp on all my recent photos. How can I delete the date?

There is no way you can delete the date stamp from the photos you have taken.
For future photos you can either correct the date or disable insertion of date stamp.

I can not use my time and date stamp

You'll need to change resolution to "Postcard" resolution(1200 pixel width) to activate date/time stamp (look for it in the menus). Unfortunately, that is the only resolution that date time stamp will work in, or show as activated/selectable in your menu.

The date stamp only works in Postcard mode. Press Func/set, scroll down to the bottom, then across to the mountain with clock icon. "Postcard" will appear in the selection. Press Func/set.

Now press Menu, scroll down to Date Stamp and across to set date or date and time, then press menu again.

How to set date stamp for canon ixus 860is

:
The date and time can be included on the pictures taken only with the camera in postcard mode. You must also activate the date stamp option in the menu.
To set the camera into postcard mode, press the [Func.] button on the camera, then use the [arrow down] key to go down to the last option in the menu, and there you can choose the [Postcard mode]. Press [Func.] again to exit the function menu.
dsc_include_date01_tcm13-520510.jpgTo set the date and time stamp, press the [Menu] button and then use the [arrow down] button to go to the [Date stamp] option in the menu. You can set this to "Date" or "Date & Time". Press the [Menu] button again to exit the menu.
dsc_include_date02_tcm13-520511.jpgBe aware that if you take pictures with this option enabled, the Date and Time cannot be removed from the pictures at a further time. It will permanently appear on the picture.

Hi how can i turn on date stamp on my canon ixus

The date and time (and a lot more) are stored with every picture in its EXIF metadata. Any photo viewing/editing program should be able to display this data. To print this data, please consult the documentation for whatever program you're using to print your pictures. Depending on the program and printer you may print the date on the image, in the margins, or on the back.

Data stamp

There won't be...you can only get the date on the pic when you use POSTCARD setting.

Another suggestion would be to buy a Selphy printer from canon, and then you can select to have the date on the print.
