I start up my Acer Aspire 7720G laptop, and I keep having the "Startup Repair" diagnosis box and it states that 'Your Computer was unable to start'This then stays here for a long time and nothing seems to happen, just the 'attemptng repairs' bar scrolling along. Is there anything I need to do, to repair this problem.
GoTo:
All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Schedule Tasks
Then...
1. Right Click on Startup Repair. Click Properties.
2. Deselect "Enable".(It is given at the bottom of the properties dialog box).
What OS are you using ???
If Windows Xp and Win Vista, then...
1. Insert the installation disk and then restart the PC.
2. Boot from the CD
3. There is a option to "Repair" the OS.
Here the important thing is to have a Windows Vista Installation disk. Doesn't matter from where it comes. And with win vista, the problem will be easily solved.

No. I press F8 to boot into Safe Mode. It loads like I'm not in Safe Mode and then just goes back to the "Startup Repair" console.
Thanks htechie, but at the moment I cannot boot into Safe Mode.
