Projection TV sets are known to have two common problems. The first problem that is common to these sets is convergence failure. When this happens the TV will usually look 3D, Wavy/Distorted, etc. It may also shutdown and blink an error code.

Check your owner's manual and see if there are instructions for setting the convergence. This lines up the different color guns so that you don't need your 3D glasses. If setting the convergence doesn't work, you may need new IC chips. Good luck!

Your convergence chips have failed.

Sometimes when they fail the TV will look 3D or distorted and sometimes it will just loose video and audio and chirp.

This is a common problem. Your convergence has gone out.

Common symptoms are...

1) 3D Video
2) Warped Video
3) Convergence menu does not adjust the red or blue correctly. 4) TV Chirps

The convergence ICs and resistors need replacement. The DPTV305-345 convergence repair kit works for most Phillips rear projection Tvs. The kit contains the two ICs 12 resistors and the CD with detailed instructions

If the picture was good prior to the 3D images, I would fix it. The convergence ICs either have poor connections or are defective. The IC is an STK392-110. There may be 2 inside the set. If you have this repaired, expect a labor cost in the $200 range. Request that the ICs be replaced rather than the board changed. This will maintain all of the internal settings and require only part replacement not a complete re-convergence adjustment.

You have a convergence problem TV Repair cost in shop 285.00, so whatever it may bring needing repair.

Replace Convergence ICs STKs will have Part # on them big black ics For parts 1-800-223-3205 www.electronix.com you have 2 of them replace Both!

Microprocessor IC glitch?? Try hard reset==leave unplugged from ac (power) overnight.PLug-in,try again.Hope this helps.
