If it is low in freon then recharging is the solution. Hot air blowing can be due to, as you have said, low freon, dirty condenser fins or blocked filter drier. Make sure condenser is clean. Use brush to loosen the lints and dusts then flush it with a pressure washer. Blocked filter drier must be replaced and so with the freon. You will know it when frost appear on one side of the filter.

My gmc yukon 2000 slt rear ac blows hot air when i have ac . on and the front works fine .

I have a 2000 GMC Savana Van SLT with front and rear AC/Heat. My front would blow hot while the rear blew cold with AC on. It turned out to be low on Freon. It's hard to know if you have the right amount of freon installed because pressures vary depending on the ambient temperatures. So the best way is to remove all the freon then reinstall the recommended amount as listed on the evaporator housing near the firewall. This worked fine for me... works like new after installing the correct amount of freon.

A/C is blowing hot air. Freon is full, compressor

2006 Kia Sorento EX. I had this same problem. It started after I had the ac compressor replaced. At first it was intermittent, it would blow cold and then blow hot, blow cold then blow hot again until it just started blowing hot. Turned out it was the AC relay switch in the fuse box under the hood, I swap it out with the horn relay switch (they were the same type relay switch) the ac has been working fine ever since and the horn also works even with the bad relay switch. Go figure?

I HAVE A 1995 SATURN CAR 1.9L AND THE QUESTION IS. THE AC BLOWS BUT ITS LIKE THE HEATERS ON, AND THE COMPRESSER ENGAGES BUT DOESNT BLOW COLD AIR, I CAN SWITCH THE POSITION OF WHERE I WANT THE AIR TO COME...

Most likely the freon has leaked from the system. Replacing it is a fairly simple process, but finding and repairing the leak is expensive (labor wise). Plus, in the States, federal law prohibits non-licensed personnel from working with freon and it's descendants. Find a good AC service shop and get an estimate--you may not need that AC air as much as you thought! Good luck!

Ac sytem blows strong air but its warm

If the compressor and fan work in the outside unit, and the fan inside (air handler) works, probably the system is low in refrigerant which means there's a leak that has to be fixed and then recharge the unit.

Today the A/C stopped blowing cold air yesterday it was fine, Nothing but hot air was coming our of vents

Look for leaks around the A/C hoses and compressor. You may just be low on Freon. When the pressure in your lines (amount of gas in your ac lines) is low, the ac will just cutout hence blowing hot air. try adding some freon.

A/C blowing hot air. Compressor activates and system has pressure.

Could be the expansion valve. That's what allows the temperature to actually drop in the system - the contents of the AC system are under pressure, and are at a certain temperature. When the freon goes through the expansion valve, the pressure drops suddenly and dramatically, which "flash chills" the freon, allowing the air to blow cold. If it fails, you may get lukewarm air from the AC despite everything else working. Also though, check to see whether the AC evaporator fan (underhood) is working - on some cars, if it doesn't turn on, the compressor won't be run enough to cool the air.
