The knob (also called thermostatic control) is stuck/broken. The burner is going on and off just as it does when it's in normal use. Just can't turn it off. Will probably need to replace the thermostatic control -- not easily repaired.

I have a Performa Maytag dryer it will sometimes turn on run a few seconds and then cut off and it will do this in consistently as I left it plugged in and left it on it was run and then cut off run and...

DRYER OVERHEATING:

Heating Element
A defective heating element can make a dryer too hot. If the element partially shorts out, it can produce heat all the time, regardless of whether the dryer is calling for heat. Remove the heating element to inspect it. The coils should not be touching each other or anything else.

Other Causes and Conditions
Air Flow Problem
Dryers need good ventilation to work properly. If the vent is clogged it can make the dryer too hot. Clean all of the vent tubing thoroughly.

Cycling Thermostat
Although not common, a defective cycling thermostat can make the dryer too hot. The cycling thermostat is supposed to turn on and off the heat to maintain the proper temperature. If the thermostat is defective it may keep the heat on too long. The thermostat is not adjustable or repairable, it must be replaced.

Felt Seal
Most dryers have a felt seal at the front and rear of the drum to keep the heat inside the drum. If the felt seal is worn away or missing, the dryer may keep heating and make the dryer too hot. This is not common.

Blower Wheel
A defective blower wheel will not spin properly and will not vent the hot air, making the dryer too hot. Check to see if there is adequate airflow out of the dryer.

Black & Decker Toaster Oven - elements cycle on and off, which makes for a SLOW cook.

Oven has three modes: 1) oven mode cycles elements on and off to maintain a specific temp setting for up to 60 min. 2) toast should keep all elements on for a few min. 3) broil mode top elements only always on, up to 60 min. Make sure you have dials in correct position and use the toast timer.

Could this be a User Interface,Board 316239500 part problem? or a Electronic Control Board part problem?

Normally, the E.O.C. (electronic oven control) only controls power the ehe bake/broil side for the oven. Doesn't control power to the element. If you have already replaced the infinite switch to that eye, the element itself could be faulty. There is a sensor inside the element that is supposed to communicate with the infinite switch to determine the proper cycling temp for what you selected.

My cabrio washing machine want start

start with Activating the service diagnostic modes. You can start with the cycle selector knob at any position.

  1. Be sure the washer is in standby mode (plugged in with all indicators off).
  2. Perform the following sequence of movement using the cycle selector knob. NOTE: After reset, sequence "a" through "e" must be completed within 6 seconds. When it tells you to rotate the cycle selector knob, it means 1 click, not a full turn. Once you have completed the cycle knob turns reset and "a" through "e", turn the cycle selector 1 click clockwise from the position it is already in. This is the fault code display mode. Then press the start button. Each time you turn the cycle selector knob 1 click clockwise after pressing start will show you an error code. Note: this washer stores 4 codes if any. The error codes on this washer are displayed in this format: F5 E3, F7 E1, etc. There is an error code chart in the image below.

If there are no error codes stored, I recommend that you start from the beginning (step 1 above) and then run the Automatic test mode. If this unit detects a problem, it will display the error at the end of this test.

Post the results back to me.

I have a frigidaire affinity dryer that will dry for a few minutes then turn off and say e68 wich means one of the buttons are stuck i took the panel of the front and checked the buttons and they all seem...

Run the service diagnostic mode to determine which button is stuck. Start by pressing and holding the Select and Cancel buttons simultaneously for 6 seconds to reset the control.
jahn27_112.jpg

Rotate the cycle selector knob 5 turns counterclockwise to the second position from the bottom immediately after the buzzer sounds.
jahn27_113.jpg

Press and hold the Options and Cancel buttons simultaneously for 2 seconds. The control enters the test mode and the buzzer will sound 3 times with all of the LEDs flashing.
jahn27_114.jpg

Rotate the cycle selector knob 4 turns clockwise to the second position from the top and the dryer motor runs with the heating element off. The buttons can now be tested to determine which is stuck.
jahn27_115.jpg

Press each button and all corresponding LEDs should light. If the LEDs corresponding to a certain button lights up without pressing the button or if the LEDs do not light up when the button is pressed, that button must be stuck or not making any contact when pressed.

Replace the control board if the stuck button cannot be unstuck or if there's no button that's apparently stuck but the fault code persists. Let us know if you need further advice.

Cobart Automatic Meat Slicer is not working on Automatic mode

To operate the slicer in Automatic mode . . . Rotate the Speed Selector Knob to the desired speed; make sure the Carriage is in HOME position (all the way forward); make sure the Lever is on the Manual position (pointing down); turn the slicer on; start the carriage drive unit by rotating the Lever to the Automatic position (up and to the right). Either of the two speed selections can be used to begin Automatic mode. The speed can be adjusted at any time by rotating the Speed Selector Knob. To stop the drive unit, rotate the Lever down and to the left - to the Manual position. ------------ If you slicer is set on proper automatic mode and still not running on automatic mode then the problem relates to internal motor or the selector knob. But try reset before this. Push the reset button underneath the slicer near the right-front foot if the carriage motor overloads. The reset helps in some problems. But if its not helping then internal connections of selector knob has to be checked.Of the same with motor, the connections of motor to the selector for automatic mode has to be checked.---------------- This will help.Thanks.Helpmech.'
