If you mean you hear low frequencies in the begining and continues to rise in frequencies then it sounds like you may have a shorted power supply. First make sure your ground is ok. Also make sure the signal from your head unit is not the problem with the noise. Does the amp power on? If amp does power on and head unit and all connections to amp are fine then either the power supply or something in the output stage is shorted. Could be a diode, capacitor, resistor, or transistor or an ic chip. Let me know if amp powers on and this problem happens. I repair amps for a living, i'm the cheapest you will find anywhere. I have a comp s 12 2ohm kicker and a comp vr 12 dual 2ohm kicker how do i wire these to stay at 2ohms to the amp

you can wire them to be at 2ohm load you need two of the same speaker. its is very bad on the amp to run like that and you will not get a good bass sound because one will over power the other sound wise

Is the alpine 3552 any good? I can't find any reviews.

alpine makes amaizing amps... as long as it's matched to the speakers/subs you are going to put on it this amp will last you a very long time... and it will put out amazing power... you won't be disappointed.

My alpine v12 turns on but no sound

no you don't have to hook up both of the power terminals. but should have it hooked up so you get the proper power to the amp. use a disubution block with two 8 gauge wires.

do you know if the radio's rca jack's are good? have you ever had another amp in the car? if it worked before try new rca's from the radio to amp. recheck all connections from amp to speakers and make sure no wires fell off.

I have an Alpine MRD-M605 amp that recently has started having issues. My subs only produce sound when my deck is turned up full blast. The setup had been working for over a year with no problems. The subs...

If your deck is aftermarket; Does it have a dedicated Subwoofer output? if so, check the control in the deck (sub gain). If you are using a factory radio, and a high to low level adapter (speaker wires to RCA), it may be bad (not too uncommon) or check your fader front/rear any difference? Otherwise, you have one of two problems. A bad preamp in the deck or a bad pre amp in the amp. Both are fairly uncommon. More than likely it's a setting. Hope this helps

CUR display

Hello yte1771,

You can download the manual from Crutchfield.

The "CUR" display is an indication of excessive current and is most likely caused by too low impedance or a fault in the wiring or the amp itself. It's probably not your cap.

Hope this helps.

Alpine amp mrd-m605

The amplifier probably has shorted output transistors. If the amp gives the same error message with the speaker wires disconnected from the amp, the amp needs to be repaired.

MRD-M605 current protect mode

Well You should make sure that the ground is good, and that no moisture got into the unit. I would suggest getting a schematic and testing to make sure that the voltage levels were correct on the unit. and the do a signal trace to see where the audio signal discontinues.
