Sounds like the door isn't latching properly,sometimes this can be from not being level,the tub can torque to one side and the latch doesn't line up correctly.

if it's only 3 months old then it's still well under warranty, call either the manufacturer, the place where you bought it or who installed it and it will be fixed for free or replaced.
my dishwasher runs through the cycle as normal for 20mins and then starts bleeping nonstop. opening the door the start light flashes without any pauses and the light above prewash is on. my engineer cnat figure this out as the flashing has no pauses. help.

the lights will turn on briefly and the machine will start a diagnostic
cycle. You can press cancel or let the diagnostic cyle finish (1-2
minutes). You should now be able to run the dishwasher as normal.
this is a fault code. it will flash so many times and then pause.
let me no how many flashes before the pause and i will tell you what fault code it is
I have had the same problem with my the same dishwasher. The manual says that "the dishwasher has malfunctioned. Call service to check heater element".
I called service and they are saying that replacing the heater element and possibly the electronic panel may be required.
Total cost (part + labor) = $350-400!!
I am very very upset with Whirlpool right now.
