My BB 8820 able to received wifi signal when i'm at home i'm using shiro modem wifi ... it works fine .. able to received email, ym, bbm etc .. but when out from the house ... the phone able to received but the wifi logo didn't appear same when i'm in the office we used wifi ...

Probably location from Wifi router. I know some of the areas of my older home don't receive a good signal. Check your wifi bars and see if this is a problem due to only one green bar showing as a connection. Rich
Check weather any other device can detect wifi signal of your modem router. If it cannot detect the signal then it may be the complaint of your modem roter wifi. If the other device can detect wifi of your modem router then back up the data of your phone and reset it. It will work fine. Thank you
you can surf the net on a wifi network even of you dont have a data plan. turn the wifi on then select "set up wifi network" then just follow the instructions to be able to connect to the network. if you still can't after doing this, it might be because the signal of the network is not that strong.
regarding the bluetooth, go to media, then press the menu button (the bb logo), then select "receive via bluetooth" for your bb to receive the file from your laptop/other phones.
Well you may have to disable the Modem... temporarily. While you want to access the Access Point. Also you probably are going to want to get a browser like Firefox or Opera, anything but what you use now, install it as a stand alone program in the root of C:\ drive, DON'T import any settings etc. Use that browser to when you access the AP.
By default, wireless routers always broadcast wifi signal. The only thing you need to do is to enable the wifi radio receiver of your laptop. To do it, make sure that you have the wifi LED lit in your laptop which means that your wifi receiver is ON. Now, you need to connect your modem to your router so that your router will then broadcast internet signal. Then you are good to go. Your laptop should get connected automatically and receive internet signal.

If it's any consolation. My BB 8820 connects to my Zyxel NBG-460N, but after a few minutes the connection just dies (the BB still shows its connected to the WiFi, tries to use it and can in fact send packets out, but it does not receive anything any more). The router has gone through 3 firmware upgrades so far and no solution. It's also causing trouble with some USB WiFi sticks when the SSID hiding is enabled.
In short: I believe ZyXEL's WLAN support is simply broken, and you'll have to buy a WLAN AP from another manufacturer.
Check wheather its disabled.and then Scan for the wireless network again and try connecting.make sure thatyour typing correct password if its security enabled network.
