SOURCE: How do I pause while recording?

As far as I can tell, and yes the documentation is skimpy, when you press the 'record/play' button the video recording pauses. Make sure you press the video icon button, not the 'record/play' button to get it started again. If you press the 'record/play' button, it goes into a 'play back' mode.

Hope this helps...

SOURCE: Dvr not working. Won't record, pause rewind

Try unplugging the unit from the electrical outlet for about five minutes- much longer than required- and try it again. If this fails you will need a service technician to resolve the issue. Thanks for using Fix Ya.

Hi,

You can download the complete instruction manual in PDF format by clicking this link.

You'll require Adobe PDF Reader installed on your computer to view the manual. If it is not already installed on your computer, download it free from: http://get.adobe.com/reader/

Hope this solves your problem. Thanks for using FixYa

SOURCE: I have a Fostex DMT-8vl 8 track digital recorder.

You can copy. You cannot just dump the file data. Unless you have an audio interface with multiple inputs, you can only copy 2 tracks at a time. Also, to sync the timing you'll need a midi port on the computer. Then you make the computer the "master" and the Fostex a "slave" device.

SOURCE: I have CENIX Power Voice

It is not compatible with Windows 7. You can go to the Microsoft Download Center and download and install Virtual PC. It is a console that allows you to run another operating system virtually. One installed you can install Windows XP inside it. From there you can install your application and run it from there.

How do you pause a video while shooting it??

To my best knowledge (i could not find any possibility), you can not pauze a recording. Only stop and restart. Stop can be handy when you want to adjust your zoom or settings differently and restarting the recording.

My rca m4304-A mp3 player says profiling requires 20mb free space shutting down and then when i try to hook it up to the computer it will not show that it is hooked to the computer and goes off

Restoring RCA M4304A Recorder Firmware

Symtom: recorder shows OPAL splash screen, then shows "profiling requires20mb of free space, shutting down" and then shuts down. Recorder cannot be accessed by windows or the RCA easyrip software.

Solution: Use the firmware update found here: http://www.voxxsupport.com/images/downloads/OPAL_066F_85A4_85A5_0_1140_SIG.EXE

This update needs to be ran on an xp computer running 32 bitOS. It was tested in a Win 7 64bitmachine and proven to not work.

Necessary steps taken to get the firmware to properlyrestore were as follows:

1. Hold in the power (menu) button for 10 seconds(the splash screen will show and it will give the error message, ignore it)

2. While still holding the power button, press theplay/pause button and hold down.

3. Release the power button while still holdingdown the play/pause button and wait 5 seconds.

4. While still holding the play/pause button plugin the usb cable to the recorder. Continue to hold the play/pause button foranother 5 seconds after plugging the cable in.

5. Release the play pause button then launch theEXE for the firmware update. Minimize the instruction screen so you can see thefull update screen.

6. Leave the format checkbox checked (check it ifit isn't checked) formatting is crucial to this working.

7. Once the status in the update window changesfrom initializing to ready click start to update the recorder. It will go through formatting, then updating.

8. Once the status shows complete disconnect therecorder and with any luck the recorder is usable again. The media files will obviously have to bereloaded, but the recording is functional at least.

I want to know how to pause my camera while filming

To pause the camera in the middle of filming, fully press the shutter at the top of the camera to the right, the recording will be paused. (i.e the shutter that you pressed while the camera is in recording mode, that enables recording while pressed fully. You press it, it will pause and when you press again, it starts recording). This is possible because the camera is already in recording mode.

How can i pause in middle of taking a video

Perhaps I'm not understanding your question, but if you mean simply pause while taping someone or something, you hit the record button again. This will pause, and then to restart you hit record again.

Converting Audio Cassettes to CDs

First off I assume you have the manual for you're 5700. if not a PDF copy is here
http://ec1.images-amazon.com/media/i3d/01/A/man-migrate/MANUAL000027911.pdf

Assuming you have a standalone tape deck that has phono inputs and outputs connection and recording recording should be easily achieved.
Forget the coaxial unless of course your tape deck has digital outputs.
Assuming it hasn't just connect the two output sockets from the tape dec which may be labelled REC out left and REC out right to the Line in (L) and Line (R) of the CD recorder.
The physical setup is now complete.
The increment level they refer to in the manual offers you a choice of 3 final decibel output levels in other words how loud it will be when it is finally recorded onto the disc.

the last paragraph on page 16 is relevant to the setup described above.

Page 15 of your manual is all you need to achieve tape transfer to CD.
follow the steps below and choose ANALOG the source to be played is your tape deck so once the process has begun press the play button on your tape deck and you should get a decent recording. Leave everything else at their default settings until you get a better understanding of how to tweak your recordings.
Personally I transfer audio tapes directly to my PC and Audio edit them until they are perfect but I've been doing this for years.

Good luck

here's a snippet

5. Select the desired mode of track division (track number
assignment) by pressing the MANUAL/AUTO button (see the
ADVANCED RECORDING section for more information).
6. Press the RECORD button.
The unit enters record pause mode.
The PAUSE [ ] icon and REC blink on the display.
7. Press the PLAY (ENTER) [ ] button of TRAY II to start recording.
8. Play the source to be recorded.
• During digital recording, if the input signal stops for 5 seconds,
recording will stop.
• During analog recording, if the input signal stops for 20 seconds,
recording will stop.
• If the unit detects copy-prohibit signals during recording,
CAN’T COPY appears on the display and recording is stopped.
To stop recording: Press the STOP [] button

Remember that every time recording is paused or stopped,

I have a sandisk sansa m240 mp3 player i found but the screen is busted. I figured out how to do everything without the need of seeing what was on the screen, except how to record stuff.

This will probably be impossible without a screen, but here are the steps:
The Sansa Fuze has a built-in microphone allowing you to record your own voice, an
interview, or a speech.
To start voice recording, follow these steps:
1. Press the Home button to return to Main Menu.
2. Select Voice from the Main Menu.
3. Select Record Now.
4. To pause the recording, select Pause.
5. To stop the recording, select Stop.
6. Select Yes to save the recording.
7. Press the |<< button to return to the previous menu.
