My JET344J-001 convection microwave oven suddenly quit working. It made one clicking sound and then quit; no lights, no heating, nothing. The plug has power.

it may be a micro switch which is activated by door,or the filament of the magnetron.

I would suspect a door switch is defective or its mount is loose, misaligned, or broken.

Sounds like something has shorted out-blown. Unless it is a very expensive model it won't be worth fixing and is not something you should attempt yourself anyway. If under guarantee then get it repaired via the guarantee arrangements. No harm in checking the plug is wired properly but as the light and timer are working it is very doubtful it is a connection problem. I think you need to buy a new microwave!

Is it totally dead? No display? Or just does not cook? If it made an unusual noise before it 'died' something probably shorted out.... You need an ohm meter to troubleshoot. If the fuse is open, switches and HV circuit need to be checked before replacing fuse. Sometimes on the convection Microwaves (not just Sharp) the fuse will 'rust' and open rather than blow. Or the fuse holder can over heat and fail.

The fact that the microwave and convection both do not heat indicated that the oven is in demo mode, check the user manual, otherwise it will possibly be a relay not triggering, may need a pcb replacement, check Demo mode 1st....Phil

at highvoltage section wiring may bae problem, check wiring and connectrors of magnetron and capacitor and transformer.
