Pioneer elite VSX-92txh freezes up and cannot be turned off

These receivers have a history of having broken connections on the subwoofer jack. Would have to go in for repairs.

HDMI version is 1.3 in your receiver.The current version is 1.3b. I would suggest calling Pioneer cust assistance and see if there is a firmware update. Your unit has a 2 year parts & labor warranty. Their # is 1-800-421-1404 It sounds like a CODEC issue. Hope this helps

There is a fix for this problem.

Disconnect the speakers from the rear of the receiver, then turn on a source like cable or dss. Close the doors and leave the volume on at about 35%. The receiver will still be carrying a load and creating heat. Let it play for a while and see if it shuts down. If it does, pull the unit out of the cabinet and repeat the test. At this point, if it shuts down, there is an internal issue and needs to be serviced. If it does not, reconnect your speakers, leaving the receiver out of the cabinet and test again. If it still does not shut down, you need some air movement in the cabinet via a DC fan. If you need more help, post a comment and I'll help some more. I had the exact same problem with mine. Local repair shop had to replace the main in-put chip on the back of the front panel. Works great now. Cost about $125 out the door.

i do have same problem MCACC light blinking and no power. i bring in to norman electronic, and waiting for them to call me back

dont buy pioneer until they recall and fix problem ethically
