Maytag Neptune dryer MDE 6700AZW Stops working

I bought my dryer in 2007 and already it stops working mid drying cycle. The face panel goes out and won't turn back on, and dryer stops. After a good long while it will eventually light back up. I have read here about people replacing capacitors and or circut boards. Where and how do open up the dryer to find where the capacitor/circut board is. Lisa

Maytag Neptune dryer timer won't stop

If the timer is not stopping as it goes around then it's for sure the timer. The timer does pretty much all the work with controlling the dryer. And if it's physically not stopping going around then it has broken.

You may be experiencing "Heat Retention" by stopping your dryer mid-cycle, which you should NOT ever have to do! If you have a minor vent restriction or if you open the dryer mid-cycle when the heat is on, this will cause a disruption in the airflow and rising temperatures can keep the dryer from restarting until it has been cooled long enough.
Check your vent all the way to the outside for restrictions/obstructions every 6 months. Clean your lint filter after each load and DO NOT stop the dryer mid-cycle!
Note: Stopping the dryer mid-cycle can also cause severe burns and even melt polyester fibers.

Maytag coin op dryer timer programming for mde-16cs

The maximum run time on this machine's timer is 54 min. There is an adjustable peg on the white plastic index wheel which you can adjust anywhere from 30 to 54 min. For example peg in position E is 30min, D is 36min, C is 42min, B is 48min or for 54 min you have to remove the adjustable peg completely, but don't lose it in case you want to change the time in the future. If it is already in the Max "A" position and shuting off early you might have to change your torsion return spring. Hope this helps
