Some of the pictures are coming up sideways, others are ok how do I fix this

I don't think you had backlight issues like you thought you did as the set should have shut down the backlights totally as soon as it sensed over voltage or over current, I'd try a new main board and see if that fixes things up for you

Its picture tube base socket has damaged. Picture tube base socket is one diretly soldered to the base card, which in turn pluged onto the picture tube neck. Its focus control pin will usually get damaged, and this type of fault you describes here will occur. The time taken to clear up picture will vary according to atmosphereic humidty.
You can replace the base card. Unplug the base card from the picture tube base card [do it ver cauciously; not to shake it sideways or up-down - just pull it straight backwards; you may have to apply a little pressure to detach it from the picture tube neck]; resolder it out from the card and go for a new one. Replacing it will solve your TVs problem. OK.

take the phone, get a silver shining rag, shine i up real nicely, get inbetween the buttons, the screen all that there turn that sonbitch sideways and shove it straight up your candy ***!!!!

Goto your setup or menu screen and select/deselect the auto orientation feature. If it is not there, then you are unable to change it.

What do you meant by zigzag line? Do they look like what we would call herring bone. lines going sideways? Please let me know. If this is the case, I have never been able to solve that problem. I am very close with the tech over there at Samsung. We spent hours on this problem. We changed Complete main board. We also changed Power supply. The problem maybe coming off the Yoke or a somewhat defective picture tube.

Please post reply if someone did correct such problem

You have your video card set to rotate the screen after Windows loads.

Go into your display properties using it's control panel and look for the rotate section. Set it back to 0 degrees. Make sure you click apply and then OK, not just OK.

glad it was helpful! I had researched quite a bit before I started and realized there was a real lack of detailed info for the wdx2x25 models so I figured I would take some photos and post while I was at it.

If fixing the PWR board doesn't do the trick, getting the other two out is not as bad as you might think - just tedius. The V26 Chassis Replacment manual (different than the main service manual) has reasonablely detailed step by step instructions to disassemble. Let me know if you need it and I can email.
