Push Pull Shower Valve also off in middle position

If you turn it to left or right (hot or cold) and get water out of the shower head,we'll elimate cloged shower head.If it just doesnt work in the middle ,probily a washer is stuck in your diverter,or to better understand>a part inside your shower knob assembly is clogging the water that goes up to your shower head. If you get water out of the shower head in the just cold possition or just hot position, then you will have to dissasemble the unit to repair. If you get no water in the cold or hot position could just be a clogged shower head.If you dont know how to disasemble a Shower diverter ,I wouldn't recommend taking it apart. Hope this helped!

My steam shower is dripping water when it is turned off... all water is turned off.. please contact me since my water is dripping and is costing me money! the drip is where the steam comes out.. my number...

You have to turn main water off to house, then in side shower head is a gasket / otherwise known as a 0-ring, that needs replacing. Yes, a 50 cent part is causing this. If you don't know how to replace shower head 0-ring, just take shower head to any home depot, they will put it inn for you. Just make sure you turn main water line to house off, otherwise real leak. Let me know if helps. Thanks mike

I have an American Standard shower that drips out the shower head. When other faucets are used in the bathroom the water pours. I replaced the cartridge put it still drips. What could be the problem?

Hi kwbaker!
Assuming the cartridge is new and the water drips at both hot and cold settings, I would check your shower head. It is not uncommon for debris to collect in the screening there and clog the spray nozzle.

To check the shower head you'll need to remove it from its piping. Use two tools--I normally use an adjustable wrench and a strap wrench--to hold the wall pipe and simultaneaously turn the shower head counter-clockwise. The cresecent wrench grabs the hex-head of the shower head, while the strap wrench holds the chromed piping without scratching it.

Be sure you don't lose the rubber washer inside the pipe-to-shower head connection!

Once the head is removed, look inside it at the pipe side. You should be able to see into the mechanicals of the shower head--very often I'll see bits of rust or scale. Oftentimes its enough to rinse the pipe side of the head under a sink; in extreme situations it can be easier to replace the entire shower head.

To replace the shower head, use two tools in the same manner in which the head was removed: crescent wrench to turn the shower head, strap wrench to hold supply piping. This time, however, turn the shower head clockwise until it tightens snug.

Hope this helps!

Sounds like diverter valve which is your shower handle valve is bad take it apart and check out and replace it if possible because that transfer water to shower head.

For some reason, my rain shower head drips like it is slightly turned on. I have never noticed this problem until I changed the thermostats and elements in my water heater. I believe the shower head is...

Remove the shower head and flush the plumbing by opening both valves fully. When you did the heater work, you dislodged some scale . Now it's in the shut off valve. It's no big deal as long as you hsaven't forced anything to stop it. Good Luck_Ned_

A single handle delta shower control lets water drip through shower head when shut off......how do I fix it ?

Make sure the drip is continuous because the shower head will drip for a few minutes until it empties out. Replace the cartridge or washer kit if it keeps dripping.

Dripping shower head

If it is dripping from the connection where it goes to the water spout you can unscrew the connection and wrap teflon tape or Pipe Joint Compound on the Threads. Now you can Thread the Shower Head Back on, with No Leak. IF..... It is leaking from the Shower Head Itself There May Be a Problem with the diverter handle/lever. If it has a Pull Type Lever, sometimes you can screw the Lever up or down for the proper water restriction to the Shower Head. However if the Hot and Cold Handle/Lever is OFF, There should not be any Water coming out from anywhere! If water is coming out off the Tub Spout, with the Shower Off, then you will have to replace some washers or Cartridges in the faucet(s) to stop the dripping. You can do this easily....Just Ask) Remember though, that some shower Heads may Drip for a Few Minutes After they are Turned off. There is still water in the Supply neck and needs to escape, either though the tub Spout or Shower Head.......Hope this Solution Helps you with your Drips.....Joe
