I have a TSST Corp CD/DVD W TS-L632D ATA Device. These are the problems I have with the Device. It will read Data disk's, C.D Disk's and some Movies. Mainly Elvis movies.. But If I try to put any other movie in.. Say a Disney Movie, or a Pixar movie. Or even a horror flick it will not read it. Yet it says the Device is working properly. I have had this problem Since I bought this Laptop at Walmart February 2008. I tried getting the drivers for it, thinking it was a driver problem, but the drivers are the current drivers offered. Ive cleaned the laser with a Laser cleaning disk. Yet still it does not want to work. Can you help me

Have a look at the manufactueres site on the internet to check compatibility with the dvd zones for your disks you have.
ie zone 1,2,3,4 etc ...japan,europe, australia or new zealand america
the formats the disk is written in depends on the type of info the reader will understand,if the movies were downloaded from the internet then you will also need the media player that was used to convert them to be able to veiw them.
a New replacement dvd drive and c/w software for a desktop is around $20-00 to $250-00,laptop replacement drives depend on the model and make and applicantions your have in mind ie dvd burning etc
Hope this helps,,,MISTERDJ

They are standered DVD. All DVD.
Sometimes Windows Media Player, Other times my acer arcade deluxe.
The movies are all shop bought
I'll need a bit more information in order to assist you. For instance, the types of movies you're trying to play, are they standard DVD movies or copies you've been given? Are they BluRay, DVD or CD movies? Also, what movie-playing software are you using to run/view these discs?
What is the source of your movies home made or shop bought ?
