Could a the trigger problem make it so that it cant take a photo?

Bought a Polaroid OneStep that takes 600 film. The film I have is fine, but the camera doesn't want to take the picture. The green light was on and but it feels like the trigger might be busted - it never completely bounced back from when I first tried to take a picture. This causes the camera to not be able to completely close.
When I first loaded the film it spit out the black top and said i had 10 shots.
Could the trigger problem make it so that It cant take a photo?

Yes, The trigger closes a switch. If it didn't return the switch may still be closed, preventing further use.

Poloroid 640

Either your camera is broken or those film packs you used have gone bad. I hope it's the later case which can be fixed by using a different film pack. Impossible Project makes new film packs for Polaroid 600 series so better use those than old expired Polaroid film packs.

When people say I need film or photo paper for the polaroid, is the film the same as the photo paper?

The polaroid One Step uses what is called pack film. It is layers of paper with chemicals sandwiched between, After exposure, the fild is pulled out between rollers that spread the chemicals over the photo paper. When seperating the photo from the paper covering, the chemicals are taken away with the discard.

My daughter bought a Polaroid One Step camera at a yard sale, but the battery is dead. Is there a way to change the battery?

Polaroid OneStep cameras have the battery built-in to the film back. If you are using Polaroid 600 film, simply change the film cartridge.

I got a Polaroid OneStep 600 Flash Close-Up, it looks like it's never been used. How do I know what film it will take, and where can I buy it?

Polaroid Stopped making the film about 2 years ago. You can still find some film out of New York and Amazon, some reviews are good, some are saying the filme is not good or out of date. Find a reputable dealer. New polaoid or a new "polaroid" product may be coming out sometime soon, see http://www.the-impossible-project.com/

Camera wont eject photo when picture is taken.

This is due to an old photo pack as they're all past the use by date now: the battery built in to it had just enough power to eject the protection sheet and take a photo, but then went flat. There's nothing you can do to remedy this unless you fit an external battery pack. There are no kits to do this with, you have to rig something up on a DIY basis but it is fairly simple with a few basic tools and a little ingenuity. The original batteries were 6v and the camera works at 4.5v; the higher voltage gives a bit of leeway as the battery slowly discharges whilst the film pack is stored and unused.

How old is the film in camera & when did you put in the film?

Polaroid's battery is built in with the film package.
If the package is old or been in the camera for a long time battery may be low or dead.

Try changing film out.

Good Luck! Hope this helped. Please rate.
