I have a Sony Triniton 36" TV model # KV-36XBR400, Manufactur date November 2000. The TV has a great picture and the sound quality is great, but some days it will work fine, but then other days it will shut itself off after a couple of minutes. You turn it back on and the same thing it will play then shut down again after a couple of minutes.

KV-36XBR400 shuts down, four blinks on front led. Had to lug unit to Aut. Sony Repairman. Said it was a "D" board problem. He sent for a Refurb. unit from Sony. Installed refurbished D board from Sony. Brought it home, plugged it in, noticed picute was fuzzy and within two hours, TV went out again. Received 4 blinks on LED on front of TV. Unplugged unit to reset, then turned it on again. But within a day, it went out completely with the same 4 blinks on the front LED. Called Sony Repairman, brought it back to his shop and this time--he said he was done with the unit. He refunded my 439.00 dollars, and I now have a 240 lb paperweight.
Reviewed various posting of "fix its" and have not read any with my problem. Perhaps you have a solution. Love this TV, and it cost $2600.00 new and is HD ready.
