Hi there how can i connect to the internet with my hp compaq 3950? how can i download files through my usb? because it doesn't appear in the connection even if i already put my usb? what's the problem with that, but the computer reads the compaq settings in the usb? but when i checked it its not visible. kindly help me with this problem please! thanks a lot.

If your motherboard have USB ports.available gadget USB LAN and USB WIFI gadget.
Just install driver software and search internet provider for internet access.
See sample picture USB LAN and USB wireless type gadget.

Restart the laptop, hit F10 to get into the BIOS. Arrow over to the Advanced menu and then down to Device options. After or before the "USB legacy support" option, there may be a external monitor setting. If it is there, change that, as it may be set to only work with an external monitor connected. After making changes hit F10 to accept.

Arrow over to the File menu and to "Save changes and exit". Reboot. Try that, if it doesn't work, re-enter the BIOS (F10). Arrow over to the File menu and to "Restore defaults". Then "Save changes and exit". Reboot.

You must reinstall the wireless adapter's driver from the HP website. You can do this by one of two ways:
1. Connect the Ethernet cable (assuming your network adapter is functional and the driver is installed) to the Internet via the modem. Then log into the HP website - drivers and download section for your model. Download the driver to your computer and install it.
2. On another computer that can connect to the Internet, insert a USB flash drive into a USB port. Log in to the HP website as above and download the driver file into the flash drive. Transfer the file just downloaded to the laptop and install it.
Whenever the operating system (in some cases) is reinstalled, some drivers need to be installed separately from the operating system.

Take a USB Flash Drive or CD and download only the Ethernet Controller Driver for the Compaq. Install the driver to the Compq, connect it to the net and download the package directly to the Compaq.

Download the multi operating system drivers from:

Save on your desktop and double click on this file to start the installation of drivers, once complete restart the computer and that is all. The yellow exclamation mark should be gone now and you can connect to Internet.
