Pls check your computer resources first.like RAM and processor you have in your system is sufficient to load the os.
this problem is maximum time due to windows virus problem that i have seen.
pls check your system for virus first. if no virus found then fromat your windows and re-install.

You could try getting system up in Safe Mode (if Windows), or Recovery Mode (if Linux) and verifying the System Logs/Event Viewer, or roll-back the last patches installed.

You may also try using Microsoft Dart to uninstall patches or run diagnostics on OS if Windows.
