My old computer died & I bought a new hp Pavilion PC, p6110y. I have an old printer, Lexmark Z11, which is one I can choose as a printer to install on my new hp. However, I'm getting the error code "Error loading LXADSULDLL. The specific module could not be found." I called Geek Squad and they say to use the installation disk w/ from the printer, which I don't have. Can I download it from the internet somewhere?

First line prints okay with Lexmark Z-11, but after that it's anybody's ball game.

What is the operating system of your computer? Disconnect the printer from your computer. Reboot pc. Unplug and replug the printer into the power source to reset it. When the printer turns on, reconnect it to your computer. Try to print again.
Note: The Lexmark Z11 printer only works on Windows XP 32-bit and Windows 2000 (http://bit.ly/m41dci)

The printer uses a parallel cable IEEE 1284-compatible. Hope this helps.

Reinstall printer

You can download your driver here:

http://downloads.lexmark.com/cgi-perl/downloads.cgi?lxkprod=Z11+Color+Jetprinter

If you have Vista:

Please note: At this time, Lexmark does not have a driver for this printer which is supported by Windows Vista.

However, people have reported success using the Windows 2000 driver on Vista.

Lexmark z11 Vista Compatible?

Looks like I've cracked it [Touches wooden desk]. Need a USB to IEEE 1284 36-pin Parallel Printer Cable, like the one I received today (ordered yesterday from www.cables2u.co.uk). First, connect it to Z11. Turn on Z11 and boot up Vista PC/laptop. (I run Vista Business on my laptop.) Connect cable to computer. Message appears "Installing device driver software". Click it for status. 'Found New Hardware' box appears. Click 'Locate and install driver software'. A message appears "Error loading LXADSUI.DLL. Specified module could not be found". Click 'OK'. Message appears saying driver software installed successfully. ["Yeah, right ..."] (Have faith, folks!) Now, click Start, then Control Panel and double-click Printers. Right click on Z11 and click on Set As Default Printer. Right click on Z11 again and click on Properties. Check on Ports tab that Port USB is ticked for Z11. On Cartridge Maintenance tab, check right cartridge is showing. If not, click 'Install/Change Cartridge' and follow instructions. Then 'Clean Print Nozzles' and 'Align Cartridges'. Check settings on the other tabs in Properties look OK and try printing a test page! It looks good to me!

Lexmark z11

Your printer thinks you are using a color cartridge. If have the lexmark printer manager software, go to "install new cartirdge" and tell it that you are using a black cartridge. Otherwise, install a printer driver, reinstall the printer, and set it up again.
