If the phone got wet it is done, the contacts will corrode over the next two weeks or so if it already has not done so. I have worked for years doing part time work in the industry- If you mess around buying thhis and that then you are wasting money for a lost cause. I am terribly sory to be the one telling you, but if you have the insurance this is covered. If it happens again- drop the phone and battery (seperated) in a pot of dry rice , then use that compressed air to further remove sedimenet once its dry. Hope this h elps and have a nice day

My cell phone battery got wet

Wet Cell Phone
Immediately remove the phone from the water, turn off the cell phone remove the battery and SIM card. When you have driedthe cell phone by putting in a warm sunny place for several days or in front ofa warm fan heater for several hours then reassemble the phone. Hopefully itwill work properly but if does not work then it is faulty and you need a newcell phone.

My screen is lit up, but black and blank. everything else is working.

Do you think you may have gotten your phone wet? It may have gotten wet without you even realizing. I would open the battery compartment cover on the back of your phone and remove the battery. It depends on what kind of phone you have, but there is an indicator as to whether or not your phone is wet. What brand of cell phone is this?

Phone just wont switch on. seems dead

Assuming that you didn't do anything to kill the phone (drop it too much, get it wet, use it as a doorstop), it could be an issue with the connection between the battery and the phone.
  1. Remove battery.
  2. Using a normal pencil eraser, rub the gold terminals on both the battery and the phone.
  3. Rub the terminals with a cloth to remove any debris.
  4. Try turning the phone on.
If this doesn't work it may be that the battery is dead or the phone is dead. If it's the battery it can be replaced. To check if the phone or battery have gotten wet, look for a small patch of paper on the battery or the phone. Typically this paper will turn from white to pink if liquid comes in contact with it (this is how the cell phone company knows if you got your phone wet when you bring it in broken). If it is pink, most likely the phone is completely dead and not fixable.

Phone got wet & works fine but says network error

Cell phones do not recover gracefully from getting wet internally. The electronics were not made to get wet.
You would be better served to get a new phone. Getting a cell phone wet is almost alway death to the electronics, even if the phone is dried out completely, The problems caused by the damp electronics will cause strange and intermittent problems.

Sound in any time after cell was wet by rain

It needs to have the battery removed and place EVERYTHING, battery, opened phone and battery cover in a warm place for at least 1 week. Hopefully, it isn't ruined.

V3 phone

Amazing how electronics devices seem to soak up water like a sponge. Check the battery contact on the battery and the phone for corrosion and clean gently with a small eraser if need be. Other than that, if water got inside the phone, you'll be needing a new one. You can buy unlocked V3's on Ebay fairly cheap, then put your sim card in the new phone.
