First of all, why did you categorise your DVD player as a network adapter?

Secondly, have you tried unblocking it? It might have something physically stuck in the way.

If you cannot get the disk to eject, power the device off and insert a paper-clip into the emergency-eject hole in the front of the device. It should be located just under the disk tray.

Good luck!

I have a Phillips HDD & DVD player/Recorder and when i try to open the try a sign comes up saying BLOCKED and I can't load a disc

Hi and welcome to the site,

Initially, postback with the model number.

BLOCKED as it implies indicates that the tray could not slide out; a common problem with some Philips models. Fix is to replace the DVD deck mechanism. Workaround is to always leave a disc inside.

Offhand, on most Philips models, there would be a manual eject slot at the bottom of the unit as shown in the representative image below.

Good luck and thank you for asking.

DVD ejects itself shortly after inserting

If you have tried cleaning the laser lens and the unit does spin,You have a defective laser assy, this is common with these players. If unit does not spin, try spinning it when you insert a disc by hand as this may start the unit spinning,if starts spinning then unit has a bad spin motor.

I have philips dvdr3455h/37 when pressing eject shows blocked on the display i did press eject more than 10 seconds and still blocked?

What is "causing" the "blockage" is the stabilization idler mounted on a plastic piece spanning the top of the recorder. It is a plastic disc with a metal ring embedded in it. It clamps down on the DVD once its loaded. It is supposed to release when the eject sequence starts. The read/write head assembly is supposed to rise up to read a dvd or cd and drop back down to a rest position when its time to eject the disc. The head assembly is encased in a metal shell, which is already magnetized or has become magnetized. The mechanism pulling the head down is too weak to pull the head all the way down. It moves just a little bit, you hear some noise and the "blocked" message appears on the display. If you take the cover off, you see the dvd still in the "mounted" position, but it has moved a little bit, but the clamp effect of the stabilizer is still engaged

Two ways to fix this:

First, before you go inside, tap the area of the phillips case right where you imagine the dvd center to be, if one was loaded. Tap and hit open, you may break the magnetic link that way, the head drops, the tray slides out. Then always keep a dvd in the player to give the release motor a little help, use a scratched disc you were going to throw away anyway. Second, you need to open the case, pry the stabilizer up as high as you can, or tap on the plastic near its edge while pressing the "open" button. You may need a PC type screw driver to remove the very small screws that the stabilizer assembly is mounted on. This way you can at least get the disc without further damage to it. You might as well leave the screws off, if you plan to keep using the recorder. Click on the link below to download the user manual:

I have a jvc th-p7 cinema system. and when i try to open the tray it say's locked. but i dont know how to take it off?????

You can lock the tray and prohibit the unwanted disc ejection.
On the center unit ONLY:
While the system is turned off
• The system turns on and "LOCKED" appears on the display
window.
• If you try to eject the disc, "LOCKED" appears to indicate that
the tray is locked.
To cancel
Carry out the same operation again.
• The system turns on and "UNLOCKED" appears on the display
window.
