Picture up side down vertical retrace lines

Upside down picture is due to the connection reversal to vertical scan section winding at the deflection yoke.
If you wish to know more about retrace lines, and the repair work to it; visit this site. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/

Daewoo dtq-206sc have retrace lines

if retrace lines at top of picture the issue is in the vertical circuit--usually a bad filter cap and or the output chip (most of the caps that cause that are 220 uf or 330 uf and connected directly to one pin on the chip.

If retrace lines are across entire screen---likely the master screen control on the Flyback is set too high--causes excessive brightness and the retrace lines.

I WAS WATCHING MY SAMSUNG TV MODEL LN32A450C1DXZA AND WHITE LINES APPEARED ON 3/4 OF THE TOP PORTION OF THE SCREEN, HAD THE TV FOR ONLY FOUR YEARS

This fault is due to leakage of electrolytic capacitors in the vertical stage that is why top retrace lines are visible over the picture,if you are technical person check the capacitors in the vertical stage by replacing the same.

Several lines run across the top of the screen

Several lines acroos the screen at the top along with picture is a typical fault. You are seeing vertical retrace lines. Either the supply smoothing capacitor to the power supply given to vertical output Ic or vertical output capacitor connected to the vertical output pin of that Ic may faulty. Usually the supply smoothing capacitor seen faulty. It may be over 1500Mfd eletrolytic capacitor used there. It may get value reduced by 40 percent or so, this falult will occur. Please replace the two capacitors together and will get the result.

Vertical jitters on picture - JVC AV48P776

What you are experiancing is loss of High voltage. The line is called a retrace line. It is usally caused by failure of the flyback circuit or aging of the TV tube. This is the single most common failure with CRT based display systems. The high voltage can be tweaked up, to accomidate for the age of the tube. Its a short term solution. Because of the high voltage nature of this circuit, suggest a professional repair.

Hitachi model # 57UWX20B, IT HAS WASHED OUT VIDEO ON ALL CHANNELS WITH VERTICAL PROBLEM, PIP WORKS OK, WILL NOT PLAY VCR TAPES OR GAMES, BUT IT WILL PLAY THEM ON PIP. I CHECKED ALL CONECTIONS AND CAPS,...

The problem with the video from the VCR and Game console only being in the PIP window is likely cured by hitting the swap button (or its equivalent) on the remote control. With the Washed out video on all channels, that could be caused by defective capacitors on the CRT drive board, usually 470uF @ 10-16Volts . It could also be caused by dust buildup on the Lenses, and if the set was used in a room where people smoked, the mirror probably has a film of nicotene on it as well. I don't know what you mean by a vertical problem as well. If it involves retrace lines at the top and a shortening at the top and bottom, then I would suspect capacitors in the vertical circuit there as well. If it is a vertical jitter that you are experiencing, I would suspect bad solder connections in that same area.

TV Bars

These are called vertical retrace lines. They are going to get worse untill you find the bad capacitor(s) or replace the vertical driver/output IC. Please, if you have not the solid state repair experience, get a pro to assist you in this repair as there are no user replaceable parts inside this set. Good Luck PLease do not forget to rate this thread.
