My frigidaire gallery front loading washer goes through the rinse spin cycle then stops spinning. I can get it to spin in the beginning of the spin cycle, and high speed spin at the end, but it just stops 1/4'' after the rinse/spin starts. If I need to take the top off, how is that accomplished? The door lock light shows that it is locked. Thanks, Aaron

Based off the information you have provided if your Frigidaire washer is draining and rinsing but not spinning it could be an issue with your timer or motor. I would reset your appliance by disconnecting power to it by unplugging it or flipping the household circuit breaker for ten minutes. If that does not work I would recommend having a technician out to the home to properly diagnose and repair the appliance, since it could be any one of these underlying issues. It be the carbon brushes are worn down on the motor, when it goes into the final spin.

this could be a main control board problem.how ever i would check the drain pump for any kind of foregin object that may be causing the drain but to stop functioning.last resort bad drain pump

Does the washer spin after the wash cycle? It sounds like the door switch. This is a common problem with frigidaires. 90% of the time a door switch fixes it.

Hi. this is a failed timer device. simply replacing the timer control module will eliminate these issues you are having.
