Don't think this is fixable. I bought a sagem dvr64250sl-t in 2007, a year later the remote stopped working properly and I replaced it under warranty. Now, 2010, it's happening again and I'm buying a new remote off Amazon. Not sure if a universal one would work for the freeview box...

May be transmission problem. Replace new battery in remote and check. If not, check with camera phone focusing on transmission signal of your remote. Press any button in remote. If ultra light flashes, your remote is o.k. Other wise repair PCB where receiving sensor problem.

Problem with my sagem pvr 64160t

Powering on a Sagem 64160t after disconnecting the HDD will produce the problem that you are experiencing. Sagem build quality can be poor. After opening the case, carefully check the data and power connections to the HDD for joints that lack solder or that haven't been properly seated. If the connections are good then the problem lies with the HDD, which may have failed. Unfortunately, DIY Sagem HDD replacement can be problematic.

I have ablu ray sharp dvd everytime the remote is activated the machine displays rc3 and no other responce

This is because the remote and the player are not set to the same code, the player is currently set to RC-3. You will need to set the remote to RC-3 by:

1. Press 3 on the remote, then while pressing 3, press Power and hold them both for 5 seconds.
2. Release the buttons, then press power to test the remote.

Sagem PVR 62160T UK

I left it plugged in while watching a DVD for about 90 min (as Sagem and DVD are all connected up with the TV). Afterwards I noticed the Sagem was now displaying Er09. I tried pressing the green button on remote control to activate the Sagem and hey presto everything came back on (with a message saying that the download was now complete). All back to normal now. I think the 00 and flashing dashes just meant that the Sagem was downloading and that this took longer than the specified ' few minutes'. Not sure what the 'improved DTV' was though - I can't see the difference!

Code for sagem box in masterplug 4 in 1 remote

You can find the remote control codes for different brands of devices from
http://www.hifi-remote.com/ofa/codes-tv.shtml#tv

If none of the codes work then we have two other solutions:

1. Searching For Your Code

If you have tried all of the set-up codes for your brand of equipment ,or your brand is not listed, and you are still not able to get the unit to respond, try the following procedure to search for your code.
If you don't find a code that works, the remote will flash four times when you reach the end of all the codes for this device type.
  1. PRESS the button for the device you want to program, (TV, VCR, CABLE, etc.), then RELEASE.
  2. PRESS and HOLD the SETUP button until the red LED flashes twice, then RELEASE.
  3. ENTER 9-9-1 (two blinks on the remote)
  4. ALTERNATE slowly between the POWER key and the DEVICE (TV, VCR, CABLE, etc.) button until your device turns off. (On VCR, LD, and CD players use PLAY instead of POWER)
Make sure that the remote is pointed at your device during the search, You may have to press this sequences of buttons up to 100 times to search the entire library of codes.
  5. When your device turns OFF, PRESS the SETUP button and RELEASE it to lock in the code for your device.

2. Learn the buttons from the original

Line up your original remote and the head-to-head before completing the following steps.
  1. PRESS and HOLD the SETUP button until the red LED flashes twice.
  2. PRESS 9 - 7 - 5, the red LED will flash twice.
  3. PRESS the DEVICE key where you wish to learn the function. The next 3 steps must be completed within 10 seconds.
  4. PRESS the button that will receive the learned function, the LED will flash rapidly.
  5. PRESS the button on the original remote to be learned.

Now you can repeat steps 3 through 5 to learn other functions onto other keys or press and hold SETUP until the Cinema's red light flashes twice to lock in your new feature. (If the red light does not blink twice, stop and repeat steps through 6).
To test the new feature, press and release the device key in which the new feature was learned followed by the key on which the feature was learned

Hope that helps!
