The Mustek Plug-n-Scan 1200 UB Plus is a legacy to Windows Vista and 7. The driver's are limited to what the manufacturer's website can provide. Microsoft also tells us that it is not compatible with Windows Vista or 7. You may check out Mustek's website. It can only work for the following Windows versions:
It's either you (1)upgrade for a new scanner, (2)downgrade Windows version of your computer, or (3)use the scanner with a computer with Windows XP in it.
However, you could try downloading MUSTEK Scanexpress 1200 UB Scanner drivers for Windows Xpand try running them in compatibility mode. click here how to run them in compatibility mode
y all this does not work you must have to contact manufacture for better support.
hope this help
Download the driver to your desktop and then install it. Keep in mind if your trying to run your scanner on some other operating system thats not on that page, then it won't work
First, go to:
http://www.mustek.com/mustek/supportdrivers.php
Under "Category," select "SCANNER."
Under "Series," select "USB Port."
Under "Model," select "1200 UB."
Driver installation instructions for XP/Win98/SE will be shown.
For Windows XP, there are 5 separate files you will have to download (the instructions tell you this).
Also note: "Make sure the device is not plugged into the computer during the drivers install. After all the files are installed plug the device into the computer. DO NOT PLUG DEVICES INTO "FRONT" USB PORTS ON THE COMPUTER AS THESE ARE "HUB" PORTS AND the system may not "see" the device."
Good Luck!
ok first off any time you install a software or program if you have a virus prot, firewall and popup software on your computer you need to disable it first ok. also you can also do a program compatibility test to see whether or not the program will be compatable to run on your computer if it doesnt then you will have to go to a tech ask him what you need to do to make compatible you might have to download a driver and update everything for it to work, because everything you install as in hardware like that needs a specific driver ok.
