I cant find the light bulb in my Emerson MWG9111SL. How do I replace it?

The light bulb is usually in cavity behind the control board.to access that first remove the outer cover of the unit by removing all screw at the back.after removing the cover u will have access to yhe cavity behind the cntrl board and the light bulb.....good luck.

You will need to remove the cover over the top and sides. it is one piece. The two lower screws are a star bit that reqires the bit to have a hole in it. I could not find any, so I used pliars to remove them. When you get it open, you will see a blue and orange wire that attaches to the top. pull back the plastic and use a small knife or something to bend the tab that locks the connector in place. Below is a link to where I just located one for alot cheaper than some of the previous sites. BE SURE TO UNPLUG THE MIROWAVE BEFORE DOING ANYTHING!! AND DO NOT TOUCH ANYTHING ELSE!! Replace lightb ulb
Grab bulb in light receptacle and quickly spin in circles counter-clockwise. Wait to recover from dizziness and throw bulb away. Get new bulb, place in light receptacle and spin clockwise being careful not to over tighten which could result in new bulb breakage and rendering it worthless. Throw up and recover from dizziness.

How can I unscrew the burned out 20w oven lamp from it's holder so it can be replaced.
Does it appear your can remove the window/cover that is over the bulb? If not, the back panel may need to be removed which can expose you to electrical shock especially if you are not trained to do so. I would imagine the cover should be able to be removed (unplug first) so the bulb could be replaced without disassembly.

Your owner's manual is here.

If there's no obvious removable cover over the bulb (most often on the rear or side) and the owner's manual doesn't address it, then disassembly will be required.

You'll need to remove the outer cover (wrapper) to get to the bulb.

Always unplug a microwave before removing or installing any bulbs.

The screws you need to remove should be pretty obvious, but a special driver (such as a T20H type or GTXH20-100) may be needed.

Be sure to put all the screws back in the right holes, since some may be special grounding screws.

Bulbs can be had in most grocery stores, hardware stores, home improvement centers, and big box or department stores.

Many models use halogen lamps. You must not touch the new one with your bare skin, as the oils will shorten the bulb life.
