Good Morning!
DIficult to see this kind of problem here, but, there alternatives
May be, something with the video modulator, or RAMS,
other things like that, may be "virus" but if you go on save mode and try to run, ( IF YOU CAN) the complete antivirus, try that!

And always remember to disconnect yourself from the Internet when you are working on problems like this as it could simply get reloaded as soon as you boot back up. Just take the network cable connection out or turn off wireless. If you don't know how, then simply turn off the wireless router for a bit unless others are using it and have to keep connectivity.

Panasonic toughbook cf-48 two batteries went bad within a day

Place battery in freezer for 2 hours / remove and recharge, might make it last longer. (Removes any "memory" in them)

Might be worth checking the charger to ensure its working OK. Just becuase the light is on doesn't always mean its working.

Panasonic Cf-48 toughbook pentium 4 windows

I don't know what version of windows your running but try first going into the bios on your laptop and disabling your adapter. Then see if you can boot windows to try and find out if it is a hardware or software problem. If you can boot windows after disabling in bios you have some idea now what to look for. Instructions for how to enter bios should be in your manual for your Toughbook or posted on Panasonic's web site for your machine

Try hitting F8 right when Windows starts up. You will get a text menu with options. Try "last known good configuration" and see if that helps. If it doesn't you may be able to get it working by reinstalling XP and choosing "Repair",which will try and replace all your windows files with the original ones.

If that doesnt work then you will have to reload XP from scratch. If you have to do that then install service pack 2 before any other software or drivers.
