Hi Barbara,
Here are the instructions on How reset the Child lock from your Emerson TV:
1) Hit [MENU]. Press [CH Up / Down] to select V-CHIP SET UP?, then hit [VOL Up].
2) Enter 4-digit access code with the Number buttons.
If you have not set up your personal access code, enter 0000 which is the default access code for most TV.

Could be anything,not possible,only tries reset every setting.Ask Emerson for how to unlock.Go to their website might show how to reset codes.

Lock/Unlock Parental Controls
Selecting this option lets you lock and unlock parental controls settings
using a password.
If you forget your password, press the following buttons on the remote,
one by one: MUTE, DISPLAY, CLEAR, and RESET (you must be in the
password entry screen). Parental controls will then unlock and you can
re-enter a password via Lock Parental Controls.
