350 toner leaks on left tractor - Brother HL-5250dnt Laser Printer

Sir, the toner bottle motor assy. needs to be replaced. will take quite a bit of work to get to, recommended a service tech qualified on Biz hub 350. This series is well known for the toner bottle assy. fault as is the di3510 series prior to the Bizhub 200/300 series.

This is likely to be either residual toner left from a previous leaking toner or that your toner has leaked in the printer. I would recommend running off 30 or so pages and seeing if the dots begin to disappear. Failing this either replace the toner and request a replacement from your retailer.

take the toner supply unit out. toner supply unit is one where toner bottle fits and vacummed clean the unit. the toner unit is blocked. i am a Ricoh technician.

There is no toner collection bottle for the 350, used toner is stored in the transfer belt unit. It must be pulled from the machine disassembled then empty used toner reassemble and put back in machine, a counter must also be reset, cant remember which sp code this is though.

You need to go buy a Brother DR-350 drum unit cartridge. The drum unit is the thing that the toner cartridge (TN-350) clicks into. Pull out the drum/toner unit and separate the two halves. Place your TN-350 into the new DR-350 cartridge and put back in the printer.

black streaks the toner cartridge is leaking from the left side which is easy to check pull the tone and look at the gears on the left side to see if toner is present. if these gears have toner on them the cartridge is leaking replace it. check the fuser for wear marks on the hot roller which is the top roller when these get worn through the outer coating they will create black streaks

you take the toner and drum assembly out of the printer, set it on a level surface, press the blue lever on the left side rear, and lift and remove the toner. Remove any packing material from the new cartridge, set the front toward the drum in first and lower the rear down until the blue lever clicks. Re-install the assembly into the printer...good to go!

The toner detection sensor in the toner hopper is either fouled or defective. This is why that no matter what you've done thusfar, it's still saying it needs new toner. Not an easy repair. Recommend a certified Toshiba tech to do the work.

If your machine is a Brother Intellifax 2920, it does take a TN-350 toner cartridge. Maybe you were wanting to replace the Drum Unit instead, DR-350. I'll bet this info is useful, yes?

1. The tractor encoder signal is faulty.
a. Clean any toner or paper dust out of the encoder sensor.
b. Inspect the tractor encoder wheel for damage. Replace it if necessary.
c. The encoder sensor is faulty. Replace the tractor encoder board or the entire tractor
unit.
d. The fuser drive clutch is slipping; replace it.
e. Replace the Engine Controller Board.
f. Replace the encoder cable.

�� Tractor Encoder. The Tractor Encoder Board has two optical sensors that sense the
1/8 inch and 1/16 inch slots in the Encoder Wheels. These pulses are sent to the Engine
Controller Board and are used to monitor and control print location and paper movement.

Location
Remove the Tractor Encoder Cover by removing 1 Screw.
NOTE: Upon installation, the groove on the bottom of the Encoder Cover should
straddle the top of the left end of the Tractor Frame.
