GE Spectra flat top stove electrical short

I have a spectra flat top stove and while removing the bottom heating element, I pulled the wires and caused some type of short in the stove. Now the entire stove is kaput. Is there a fuse I can replace or did I ruin the electrical components that cause the stove to work/run? Thanks in advance.

Go to your electric circuit panel. Locate the breaker for the stove. Turn it all the way OFF then back ON. This should correct your problem.

Which element is it? Try to switch the infinite switch from another element. This will tell you if it is the element or the switch problem.

Ge spectra quit.. was using oven and it quit. then i checked the top burners they quit working to.. everything at once

Sounds like you have experienced a short circuit on the oven element which has taken out the circuit breaker controling the stove circuit.
Check the oven element.

The oven does not heat up on my GE Spectra XL44 but the broiler and stove work fine.

Might be the bottom element is bad. Not too hard to install a new one.
I am no electrician but if you unplug the stove, remove the bottom element and use an ohm meter attatched to each end, it should show if the element is broken through lack of continuity.
Just an idea from a landlord.

How to remove top of GE JBP95T0F1WW to replace heating element? I purchased a replacement heating element, but can't figure out how to get the top off of the stove.

If you are talking about the surface element it just slides out. You can lift the stovetop straight up by pulling up on the front of the top. if you need to replace the connector which has a sheet metal bolt

GE Electric Spectra Oven botton element will not heat

If only one element does not work, then test heating element continuity using a multimeter.
If oven does not bake or broil, then test temp probe.
If there is nothing wrong with elements and temp probe , then test wiring harness to control panel and timer control board.

Ge spectra jbp64, replacement bottom bake element

Take the 2 screws out of the back wall of the oven (inside) holding the element on. Then pull the element out and it will expose the wires and terminals (2). Unplug the 2 wires and plug them on the new element and mount the element back in the oven and your fixed. (make sure to turn the power off to the oven before you start unpluging wires.
