DE6754 not heating

HI I have a similar problem whereby dw completes cycle but does not heat. I have measured across the heater and get 25ohms which would indicate heater is ok?.........

Can it be the sensor?. If so whereabouts is it?...Furthermore why are they so expensive. It costs dearer than the heater itself.....

Hotpoint ultima DW stuck on cycle does't appear to be heating either

Sounds as though you have a fault in the heating system, it could be a short in the wiring to the heater or it may be the heater itself which as fault. While the machine is waiting to heat the water it will not advance through the program

My Frigidaire FFBD2406NB7B dishwasher stops mid cycle, high temp and heat dry lights are flashing, does not drain completely.

Hi Vince!

Your owners manual should tell you what that pair of flashing lights mean, but I suspect it is because the system that detects water level has become clogged with debris and the DW is telling you it refuses to proceed without an accurate water level reading.

Level measurement systems vary but are usually in a float chamber on the side of the unit. Search for an "exploded" view (usually available at part supplier sites) for more 411.

Is it more economical to connect both taps hot and cold or connect cold only and have the machine heat the water

JMHO, but guessing it's probably better to connect hot water to the DW. It could be taxing on the DW to heat cold water every time. At least with hot water available, the DW wouldn't have to work so hard and maybe your DW will last longer--or at least the heating element probably would. Can't imagine the cost of using pre-heated water (from a hot water heater) would be extravagant as a DW probably doesn't use that much water each time.

What does error code E56 mean?

That error is an E5b error. This indicates a problem with the heating element, the thermistor or the control board. You'll need to unplug the unit and access the wiring. Inspect the heating coil for breaks. Then test the voltage across the element (should see the line voltage) and check the resistance at the thermistor (should be ~50000 Ohms in a room temperature environment). If the above are okay, your control board is probably bad.

If you post a comment with the model number, I may be able to point you the appropriate parts. If your dryer is under warranty, contact Frigidaire.

I hope this helps.

Dishwasher does not dry dishes. dishes are not hot at end of cycle. seems like heating element is not heating

Connect a volt meter one lead at each terminal of the heater. Read the voltage when it is in the drying cycle. If you get about line voltage the heating element is bad. If you get no or very little voltage it is the timing unit. If you are uncomfortable measuring voltage remove one of the wires from the heating element, after unplugging it, then connect a ohm meter across the heater. If it reads above about 50 ohms it is bad, if not probably the timer. Of course you could always connect a light bulb across the two heater terminals and if it lights during the drying cycle the heater is bad.
Good Luck,
Gil

I have a WP Gold GU1500XTLB. It will not dry the dishes. Any advice?

the heater may have failed or the thermo .. / low water tempt also causes poor drying . test the water tempt at tap you need 120 to 140 deg . and run water till ist hop before starting dw . set the dw for pot & pan or a cycle that uses heat . if you have hi tempt wash use this button . and hi tempt rinse if it has it . all of these should help mm

Roper brand electric dryer will not stay hot

Sounds like it may be short cycling on the Hi Limit instead of the operating thermostat. Only way to be sure is to measure the temp inside the drum while operating with a load. Another way is to measure the voltage across the Hi Limit and it should always be zero. Lots of juice (240VAC) back there and safety is paramount.

Dishwasher power overload

Check heating element in DW and all parts associated with it located on the inside of DW under the spray arm. It could also be a problem with the control panel,Call technician.

Dishwasher element and thermostat

Check with multi-meter for power on heating element's tags. If it does get power, you should replace the heating element. In case of no power- you should replace the thermostat. Good luck !
