TV/media/volume/buttons For some unknown reason these buttons on the right hand side of the aspire 5610Z have decided to stop working? Have I inadvertently deactivated them? If so.... how do I reverse my actions? Couldn't find any advise in the user manual.- milton

Assuming you did not get a device error while attempting to play there is a sound device thing in control pannel open it and tell it to place a sound icon in the taskbar once the icon is in the taskbar double click it and make sure all volumes are on high and make sure none are checked mute. If this does not work for you you may have a more serious problem and will need to repost.
Use the screen size button to change to 16:9. If it is in the mode where the TV decides, a yellow or green bar may show up for some unknown reason. (acutally, there is a reason, but not worth getting into). This works on Samsung TVs. The mode is called "Just Scan" when the TV decides what screen size to use on a Samsung. I don't know what it is called on a Hyundai.
If you mean by multimedia keys the buttons that allow you to bring up media player and skip tracks and stuff then I think I had this problem too. I wiped my 5610z but only installed only the windows software. This stopped the keys from working. However when I then used the factory restore disk instead, this re-installed windows and also made the keys work again.
So your best bet is to create a factoryrestore disk. You can download the software to do so online :) its called Acer eRecovery
if you mean the buttons on the left side of keyboard.
most of the time, it's windows problem.
try to reload/re-install windows first, if it still not working, it;s mean something wrong with that button.
